IT Blu-ray Announced & Special Features Revealed - But No Mention Of The Extended Director's Cut

While it was reported several weeks ago that director Andy Muschietti was planning on releasing an extended director's cut of his horror hit It, it looks like the initial Blu-ray release will skip

Back in September, director Andy Muschietti and producer Barbara Muschietti both confirmed that an extended director's cut of It was on its way this holiday season, but based on the official Blu-ray announcement from Warner Bros. Home Entertainment, it sounds like fans might be waiting a little while longer for that extended cut, that is, if it's even coming at all.

As is, It: Chapter One will arrive on Digital HD on December 19th, before making its way to 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray, and DVD on January 9, 2018. The physical release will contain three extensive behind-the-scenes documentaries that will detail the making of the movie as well as eleven deleted/extended scenes.

With a sequel, It: Chapter Two already set for September 6, 2019, it wouldn't be a stretch to assume a double-dip may be on the way - possibly with that rumored director's cut - sometime in 2018 and/or closer to the sequel's release date.

This movie is the second best movie of the year for me, after Thor: Ragnarok.

I can't remember exactly, did he say they'd already filmed all of the 80s flashback scenes of the kids during the production of this for what would be peppered throughout the sequel? I'm kinda thinking they didn't, but with how far away the start of principle photography still is (for some reason as of like 6 weeks ago, I was thinking it would've already started BY NOW) I just can't imagine how they won't be totally [frick]ed for anything close to continuity with the kids. I mean just even Finn Wolfhard, he's SO much bigger than he was at the beginning of this year! All of the kids pretty much are right smack dab in the red zone where they're growing fast, I don't know how it'll make the new flashbacks to the kids stuff in the adults sequel not come off as odd.
