According to the WWE website, the newly announced reboot of the 90's horror franchise Leprechaun has been titled "Leprechaun: Origins", leading to speculation that this will be something more of a prequel than a re-imagining/reboot.

In addition, it has been confirmed that Dylan Postl (WWE's Hornswoggle) will be starring as the title character. WWE Studios, along with Lionsgate Films, are aiming for a March 2013 release for the film.

However, it has yet to be announced whether this will be a direct-to-DVD release, as the majority of the Leprechaun films have been, or a return to the big screen. No director or any other cast members have been announced yet.

What do you think of these announcements? Sound off below!

Because a man in a robotic iron suit, a dethawed super soldier, a giant green monster with anger management problems, and a Norse god are just so realistic.
