Kong: Skull Island director Jordan Vogt-Roberts is reportedly still attached to Sony's
Metal Gear Solid movie, but according to
THR he is also set to team with Michael B. Jordan (
Black Panther, Creed) for an original monster movie for New Regency.
Details on this new creature feature remain under wraps for now, but it will be based on an original idea from Vogt-Roberts and set in the filmmaker's hometown of Detroit, Michigan. Jordan will produce with Alana Mayo via their Outlier Society banner, but there's no mention of the possibility of the actor taking a role in the movie.
The search for a screenwriter for the untitled project is currently underway.
It's difficult to get too hyped for this until we learn a bit more, but it's certainly an intriguing prospect.
