Lionsgate's TEXAS CHAINSAW 3D continues the legendary story of the homicidal Sawyer family, picking up where Tobe Hooper's 1974 horror classic left off in Newt, Texas, where for decades people went missing without a trace. The townspeople long suspected the Sawyer family, owners of a local barbeque pit, were somehow responsible. Their suspicions were finally confirmed one hot summer day when a young woman escaped the Sawyer house following the brutal murders of her four friends. Word around the small town quickly spread, and a vigilante mob of enraged locals surrounded the Sawyer stronghold, burning it to the ground and killing every last member of the family--or so they thought. Decades later and hundreds of miles away from the original massacre, a young woman named Heather learns that she has inherited a Texas estate from a grandmother she never knew she had. After embarking on a road trip with friends to uncover her roots, she finds she is the sole owner of a lavish, isolated Victorian mansion. But her newfound wealth comes at a price as she stumbles upon a horror that awaits her in the mansion's dank cellars...

this isn't going to work....this supposedly takes place after the original (1974) and then brought to current day (2012) which makes for a pretty old Leatherface, wouldn't you say? Leatherface would be in his 50-60s by now

I wish they would reboot "The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas". There aren't enough movies with singing whores if you ask me. :p

Wow, Leatherface on a TCM poster. I haven't been this shocked since I found out that the characters on the Avengers poster were The Avengers.

This is the first really clear full color shot of the mask and....it looks to big for his head, the face is huge like a clown mask. I mean I can appreciate that they're doing a different style of mask but what gargantuan specimen did he get that face off of? I'm no taxidermist but isn't flesh supposed to shrink when it drys out? I LOVE LEATHERFACE, I'm willing to give this a shot, but even I have to admit the teaser was crap, it didn't build tension it just looks like a plain ole Chainsaw movie. IDK I need to see the full trailer b4 I cast my final vote on this. I do like the set up, but this film better have something beyond what we've seen, based on the teaser I'd say it'll be as good as The 3rd film LEATHERFACE: THE TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE 3, but w/ ess humor.

I'm also guessing/hoping that he's gonna wear many masks in the film judging by the first poster and the,"Evil Wears Many Faces," tagline.

enough with the posters already....I didn't get a good vibe from this the first time I heard the plot, and it's not getting any better that all they can show is one teaser and lots of posters.....like I said: this won't make sense. Too many questions need to be answered like how did he escape? and how did he elude law enforcement and people all that time in the basement of the house that was obviously rebuilt? why would a man in his late 60s be still running around with a chainsaw as a primary weapon in 2012?! come on, as much as I liked the original, and the attempt to tell another good story with the character, this just doesn't sound too smart to me in terms of plot, etc. If all we're going to get the next few months are more posters, then that's a sure sign it's not going to be a big hit....just my guess.

removed... where can i see it??????

mydogduke - 10/30/2012, 7:49 PM
they removed the poster? not surprised....it was very cheesy and not very scary....I think the studio is acknowledging this movie to be a failure and might be going back to the drawing board to come up with a better poster, OR, they just realize this movie is going to be a straight to video release.....who releases a horror movie in January?! like I said: bad storyline, bad teaser trailer, bad poster = bad movie. The actors got their paycheck and have some Christmas money, at least....
