An epic rebirth to Toho's iconic Godzilla, this spectacular adventure, from Warner Bros. Pictures and Legendary Pictures, pits the world's most famous monster against malevolent creatures who, bolstered by humanity's scientific arrogance, threaten our very existence.



Gareth Edwards directs Godzilla, which stars Aaron Taylor-Johnson (Kick-Ass), Oscar® nominee Ken Watanabe (The Last Samurai, Inception), Elizabeth Olsen (Martha Marcy May Marlene), Oscar® winner Juliette Binoche (The English Patient, Cosmopolis), and Sally Hawkins (Blue Jasmine), with Oscar® nominee David Strathairn (Good Night, and Good Luck., The Bourne Legacy) and Bryan Cranston (Argo, TV's Breaking Bad).

Maybe its just me, but every new still that's released makes me not as excited about the design of Godzilla, The motion caps are fine... but there's just something about the stills. Maybe its because the last few stills we've seen make G-Zilla look like he's been out of the gym for a while. Also, we haven't seen any real "action" stills... him throwing a punch or whipping his tail... that also has me concerned.

Can't wait for this movie! I'm also shocked how much anticipation there is for this movie! Just read on boxoffice.com it is tracking to open with at least $75 million in the US. Never mind the money it is going to rake in overseas!

This will also be against TASM 2 third weekend which will be no slouch at $30 million to $40 million in it's third frame. I don't like DOFP coming out so close to Godzilla though as I think they're going to take money from each other.

He looks damn near perfect. If I have a gripe at all (and it's small)it's the plumptitude of the beast. Like he's almost thicker than guy-in-a-rubber-suit Godzilla. Even his feets are plump. Is he storing up for the winter or something?

@Cherry - me too. Like they did with Hobbit 2 I loved the building anticipation and finally seeing Smaug in theaters for the first time. Much better that way!

The face, head, spikes and tail look awesome... but the body looks unnaturally thick in proportion to the rest of the body. I know they tried to recapture the fat guy in the suit godzilla, but it just looks a little off.

Movie looks cool and all, but the body is just throwing me off
