I wasn't too impressed with the first trailer for this, but that looks a bit better. When a red band trailer hits I'm sure we will really get a sense of what we are in for! Good cast anyway, it's potentially looking like great fun.

Senior Charlie Brewster (Anton Yelchin) finally has it all--he's running with the popular crowd and dating the hottest girl in high school. In fact, he's so cool he's even dissing his best friend Ed (Christopher Mintz-Plasse). But trouble arrives when an intriguing stranger Jerry (Colin Farrell) moves in next door. He seems like a great guy at first, but there's something not quite right--and everyone, including Charlie's mom (Toni Collette), doesn't notice. After witnessing some very unusual activity, Charlie comes to an unmistakable conclusion: Jerry is a vampire preying on his neighborhood. Unable to convince anyone that he's telling the truth, Charlie has to find a way to get rid of the monster himself in this Craig Gillespie-helmed revamp of the comedy-horror classic.

This is going to be a watered down contemporary version. No creepy house, no Halloween autumn tree feeling, it's gonna suck. I can tell. When a movie is a "Classic" you should not touch the movie, unless you have a better way of making it in a different level. This trailer looks sooooooo lame and boring. Very monotone.

Shaz, look I loved Fright Night as a kid, but to call it a classic is a bit much! Go back and have a watch again dude..

I thought Vincent should be... you know coward? Now he is just bad ass!

Hope the red band trailer shows us Vincent´s coward side.

Do any of you guys ever get that longing for some good ol' Autumn Halloween-ishness? It's just a magical time of year and I wish I could feel that way more often. Sounds pretty gay, I know, but the original Fright Night gave me that feeling. Trick'r'Treat has been a more recent film to give me that vibe.

@SHAZAM, I know what you mean, bro!

The original was one of the best horror movies of my childhood and I don't care if it doesn't have the fell of the first one. It looks to cool to pass. They had me when they announced that Kerry would be a vicious predator!

@ Gmoney84: Agreed. Even if it takes place in the Vegas subburbs, it should have been creepy a little at least. But then again, no one would suspect the guy next door with the house looking exactly like yours. Great cover for a modern vampire. I don't know, either way is fine I guess.

Shazam: I'm with ya, buddy. This looks like Twilight with explosions. Just what the world has been crying out for. The original was a hell of a lot better than this MTV-esque drivel will be.

Loved Tennant as the Doctor, but he looks more like Marilyn Manson than a burnt-out old TV horror host. Wasted casting.

I could see this movie and say "It kinda reminds me of 'Fright Night' except its not as charming." Making Peter Vincent a bad-ass and losing the comedic element drastically change this movie. I wish they would've given it a different title.

i cant wait for this, fright night along with buffy was probably what got me into vampires when i was a kid, and its been ages since we've had a decent vampire movie; last i can remember is 30 days of night. was hoping theyd remake this before they announced it; we need some decent vampires instead of the sparkly romance crap of true blood twilight and vampire diaries. if u can call them vampires.
