B movie horror films like this almost always start slow in the box office.

...and I'm not saying she's a good actor, but you can't judge a person's acting talent based on how much money their movie makes.

If that were the case, Matt Damon should also be considered a crappy actor, considering one of his best movies (The Rainmaker) only made a 5 million dollar profit; the cost to make the movie was 40 million. ...or even worse, "The Good Shepherd" only made 59 million, and it cost 85 million to make.

Regardless, I think she sucks to. I'm just disagreeing with how you came to your conclusion.

The poor haul I think is because of some of the things it opened against. I took my daughter to see 'Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs' and everyone and their brother was there with truckloads of kids. They should have opened this movie closer to Halloween.

Guy's if you haven't seen the movie, hold your reservations. I saw it, and while it isn't anything to write home about, it was a decent flic. Honestly, until I see Halloween 2, Jennifer's Body is the best horror flic so far this year, but again, that in itself isn't saying much. As for acting quality, everyone in the movie did a great job, including Megan. Amidst some cheesy dialogue and a lack of horror violence, it's the acting that saves the movie for the most part. Amanda Seyfried and Megan both pull good weight and really seem to be in character.

Superdog, did you see the movie? I doubt you did, but I just want to make sure.

As far as box office hauls go, poor earnings in the theater seldom reflect the movies quality itself. Fight Club (one of the BEST movies of all time) only pulled 37 million domestically for it's entire run in the box office... that is considered a flop by studio standards, especially with a 65 million production budget. While this is just one example, it isn't the only one by far.

Shaman, don't listen to venom-spewers who would dislike Fox if she were to begin winning Oscars(lol) Megan and Amanda were awesome, and their acting was quite convincing. I can see assholes like some of our good CBM contributors going to see this JUST SO they can try to load up ammunition. Frankly, this 'hate an actor/acteress for the year' bandwagon is getting old.

Macksimus, astute observation! Furthermore, I don't think people who've not seen it yet should be trying to tell people not to see it. No offense to Superdog, but I'm pretty sure he hasn't watched the movie either and this article was just his chance to spew venom, like he and so many others like to do about this chic for the sake of doing it. If you don't like her that's fine, I can't stand Jennifer Lopez so much I'll not see something just because she is in it, but I'm not going to waste my time taking every opportunity to slam her at the mention of her name. It cracks me up that people can be soooo intimidated by someone that they go out of their way to make sure we all know of their disapproval every chance they get.

I don't think miss Fox's doing any 'dramatic' roles any time soon. Thank GOD!

Myth- Well, i just like to kid around. In all out honesty, i don't "dislike" Fox's acting. As a sexy woman, i'd do her sideways but as a female individual who prides herself on talking smack, i'd jump spin hammer kick her and Paris Hilton in the face. So there's nothing that she has other than her naked tits, that i would pay to see if she wasn't part of a concept that wasn't already near and dear to my heart. I mean, look at it this way, i missed out on Watchmen AND Wolverine at the theaters. I didn't go see Transformers 2 so i'm really not gonna go see this in theaters if there's no full frontal on her part. I'm sure it's a thrilling ride which i won't spew venom on until i get to see it but i won't be paying more than 5$ at a Wal-Mart bin to see it. Oh and just so you don't get too bad of an opinion of me, if she was naked in a dry ass drama like the english patient 2 or somethin', i wouldn't go see it either. I need the tits/decent film combo to ever see one of her stand alone movies.

Shadowelfz- You got that right! I started hating her person the moment she shat on Wonder Woman. She's been on my "jumping spinning hammer kick her in the face if i see her in a futur trip to LA" list ever since i heard what she had to say about that. I'm defending her. Maybe she is some of the nasty things some people are saying, maybe she does have a chip on her shoulder because she's hot, maybe she's not too bright. But no one here knows her, so what's with all the judging?

I really fail to see how the fact that her horror movie didn't do well shows that she "cannot act." Horrible as RotF may have been I think she did a fine job in it.

Whatever you think of her, be it that she is an ungrateful, big-mouthed slut, that doesn't mean she's a bad actress. People just associate such things with people they don't like. And he has proven to be a very unlikeable person as far as the public spotlight goes.
