I am a huge fan of the Universal Monsters movies and I went to see this movie with high expectations but sadly, I came out of the theater dissapointed.

The effects and transformation scenes were done well I thought. There is also tons of blood and gore in this movie also. The wolfman did look a little odd to me though for some reason. Joe Johnston did the action scenes very well also and I thought the killing sprees in London were also good.

The story is basically the same as the original movie, with a few new twists and turns. I won't say them here, since I don't want to spoil it for you.

Now as for the actors, they basically sucked in this movie. Del Toro just didn't act that good for some reason. Blunt's performance was OK, nothing really special. Hugo Weaving and Anthony Hopkins delivered decent performances.

And what do I think about how Joe Johnston did? All I can say is, Marvel, please get this guy away from Captain America and don't let him direct it! He's good with action scenes but he sucks with developing characters. Hopefully Marvel will realize this and get Johnston the hell away from Captain America, before it's to late!

So overall, The Wolfman is a decent movie but don't go in expecting to see a Oscar-worthy picture.
