Pet Sematary has often been described as one of Stephen King's most terrifying works and based on the recently released trailer, it looks like his seminal novel is finally going to get the film adaptation it deserves.

The new trailer picks up with Louis (Jason Clarke) and Rachel Creed (Amy Seimetz) moving their family out of Boston and into the countryside where they discover, via their neighbor Jud Crandall (John Lithgow), that their house is just a short walk away from a creepy pet cemetery that is believed to rest on an ancient burial ground.

Based on the seminal horror novel by Stephen King, Pet Sematary follows Dr. Louis Creed (Jason Clarke), who, after relocating with his wife Rachel (Amy Seimetz) and their two young children from Boston to rural Maine, discovers a mysterious burial ground hidden deep in the woods near the family’s new home. When tragedy strikes, Louis turns to his unusual neighbor, Jud Crandall (John Lithgow), setting off a perilous chain reaction that unleashes an unfathomable evil with horrific consequences.

@HeavyMetal4Life - but technically you weren't wrong. But yes, piqued means your interest is being stimulated, but peaked means your intrest has reached the highest it can possibly go. So both could be correct.

GreypilgrimXXX
GreypilgrimXXX - 10/10/2018, 7:47 PM
@HeavyMetal4Life - How is Hold the Dark or Upgrade considered horror movies? Upgrade was an action flick and Hold The Dark was more of a Mystery Thriller.
HeavyMetal4Life
HeavyMetal4Life - 10/10/2018, 7:55 PM
@GreypilgrimXXX - I didn't make those designations, they classify as horror films (even though I agree about what you said) so I put them on the list. Revenge is more of a thriller too, but its still listed as horror.
GreypilgrimXXX
GreypilgrimXXX - 10/10/2018, 8:05 PM
@HeavyMetal4Life - Yea I was going to say Revenge is a thriller as well. I agree those were all good movies I guess I can say the last good horror movie truly for me was A Quiet Place. Upgrade surprise me and Hold The Dark was wonderfully unsettling.
HeavyMetal4Life
HeavyMetal4Life - 10/10/2018, 8:20 PM
@GreypilgrimXXX - yeah I listed my 4 in descending order, so I thought A Quiet Place was the best of the bunch, with Revenge close behind.

None of these remakes ever do well or hold up. What remake has ever been successful? Especially in the horror genre??? Seriously. Someone name 1 horror remake that still holds up as either better than or more memorable than the original. I’ll wait.

Don’t get me wrong the thing from another world is a great 50s sci-fi but John carpenters the Thing is a horror masterpiece.
