Spike Lee's Oldboy won't be in theatres in time for Halloween, but it WILL now be there for Thanksgiving. For whatever reason, the release date of the movie has been changed from October, 25th to November 27th. While this month long delay is far from the end of the world, it will frustrate fans who were extremely impressed by the brilliant trailer which was released a few weeks before this year's San Diego Comic-Con. You can check that out below!

OLDBOY follows the story of an advertising executive (Josh Brolin) who is kidnapped and held hostage for 20 years in solitary confinement without any indication of his captor’s motive. When he is inexplicably released, he embarks on an obsessive mission to discover who orchestrated his bizarre and torturous punishment only to find he is still trapped in a web of conspiracy and torment. His quest for revenge leads him into an ill-fated relationship with a young social worker (Elizabeth Olsen) and ultimately to an illusive man (Sharlto Copley) who allegedly holds the key to his salvation.

I don't care, I'm still seeing this. There are alot of Hollywood remakes that turned out good.

Hopefully, this is one.

Whens Thor come out? Could be a ballsy movie financially if its not two weeks after.

It makes me think that they actually are impressed with the movie and are placing it closer to Oscar season for consideration. The holidays are prime real-estate for dramatic movie releases

@CrimsonFlash
Thor comes out Nov 8.
If Oldboy is going for large box office intake, it is now more threatened by Catching Fire which is out Nov 22.
