Like mother, like daughter? Not quite!
Back in May, some spy photos from the set of Tim Burton's Beetlejuice sequel gave us a first glimpse of returning star Winona Ryder (Stranger Things) as Lydia Deetz, and these latest snaps provide a first look at new cast member Jenna Ortega (Scream).
The Wednesday star will play Lydia's daughter, and from the looks of these photos snapped on the Hertfordshire, England set, she'll be walking down the aisle at some point during the movie. We also have another look at Ryder as Lydia, sporting her goth character's signature black spikey bangs (she really hasn't changed at all in over 30 years).
Based on what we see here, Ortega's character is not going to take after her mother in any way, sporting a warm smile and a traditional white wedding dress - a stark contrast to the red down Lydia wore when she was being hitched (against her will) to Betelgeuse in the original movie.
Check out the photos at the link below.
Michael Keaton is also set to reprise his role as the titular Bio-Exorcist, though we still have no idea how and why he'll return from the afterlife this time. Other new cast members include Monica Bellucci as Betelgeuse's wife, Willem Dafoe as an afterlife cop, and Justin Theroux has also joined the cast in an undisclosed role.
Wednesday creators Alfred Gough and Miles Millar are currently working on the script.
The Ghost with the Most will return to theaters on Sept. 6, 2024.
