SHERLOCK & EDGE OF TOMORROW Actress Lara Pulver Signs On For UNDERWORLD 5

In another bit of casting news, Sherlock and Edge Of Tomorrow actress Lara Pulver has joined Kate Beckinsale in Screen Gems & Lakeshore's upcoming Underworld sequel. Come check it out! The Anna Foerster-directed film hits theaters October 2016.

Following her turn as Irene Adler on the second season of BBC's crime mystery drama Sherlock, actress Lara Pulver has now decided to head to the land of the dead as she's signed on to star in Screen Gems & Lakeshore Entertainment's upcoming fifth installment in their long-running Underworld film series. 

She joins a cast that features the return of franchise star Kate Beckinsale (Stonehearst Asylum) and will also feature Theo James (Divergent), Tobias Menzies (Game Of Thrones), and Bradley James (iZombie). Production on the film is expected to kick off this October in Prague with Anna Foerster (Outlander) directing. 

Outside of being known for her work on Sherlock, Pulver is also known for her main roles on Starz's Da Vinci's Demons and BBC One's MI-5. She's also appeared on HBO's True Blood and after having her scenes cut, had a non-speaking cameo in Tom Cruise's Edge Of Tomorrow.

Which movie are you referring to? In the second movie he "died" and then came back during the final battle and kicked ass.

Love her, but the series has been pure garbage after Evolution. The fact that Theo James is still in it doesn't bode well. Definitely need to bring back Speedman.

Okay, that's a bit of a stretch. Her role in Edge of Tomorrow amounted to "stand in front of Tom Cruise for 2 seconds and look at a TV screen whilst uttering no lines."

This franchise refuses to die like the Resident Evil franchise.

Although they are very guilty pleasures (I didn't like the 3rd one so much though).

I'd like to see them bring back Scott Speedman at some point as the hybrid because I thought he was the best thing about 1 & 2.

I'm all in for this. Although Awakening sucked more than Gusto on a Sunday morn, this could be good.

I do wish they'd bring back Speedman and Sheen though. Beckinsale in tight leather is awesome, but not quite enough to carry the film.

Underworld Five? This is one of those franchises like Fast & Furious and Resident Evil that makes me feel like Rip Van Winkle. Like waking up one day and seeing there's a fifth Pirates Of The Caribbean movie.
