The Walking Dead: Season 2 Spoilers!

The Walking Dead: Season 2 Spoilers!

And who should we thank for this major spoiler? The culprit is Frank Darabont. The producer, and sometimes director of the outstanding zombie show for AMC lets a few juicy tidbits slip out. See what he gives away...

While chatting with AMC Frank Darabont talks about what's in store for the second season of The Walking Dead.

What follows is an excerpt from the interview:
"I don't know if we're giving anything away, but something as simple in the comic books as 'Lori gets pregnant' winds up being sort of a fantastic complication on screen. In the story we're telling, it's just not that simple as it was in the comic book because you have those opportunities to really spin the story out in many different layers," said Darabont.

The showrunner for AMC's Golden Globe and Saturn Award winning zombie apocalypse drama also revealed that he jumped in to direct an action scene involving one of the 'new' characters. "I jumped in and directed a sequence involving T-Dog trying to elude a zombie in a big snarl of abandoned cars on a deserted highway. It's a bit of cat-and-mouse in all the dead traffic, and it was terrific fun to shoot."

They need to kill t-dog. I really f•cking hate him.

@superboyprime- that's a sh|tty idea. Are there any "mutated" zombies in the books. If you're tired of the same old zombie thing, then don't f•cking watch it, loser.

well that makes it pretty obvious what the dude from the CDC said to the main character at the end of the last episode. "Your wife is pregnant"

@Rodimus9 your the kind of fan that like to keep everything the same, your kind of thing gets show canceled
why would any one want to see the same exact thing thats they read in the comic that gets boring real quick, thats why all comics have different story lines Douche

I liked the shows as a zombie movie, but I'd rather read the comics again. They weren't able to pull it off for me.

SuperboyPrime1, even if nobody cared about how faithful the show was to the comics, your idea was still terrible. Extremely terrible.

@luckylu: Same here. Like that season finale, I was just "Huh?? They were never trapped in this place! What the hell??"

I wonder if AMC will be willing to eventually air the fate of Lori and the baby, or if that's gonna get changed somehow.

@superboyPrime
While you have a valid point about comics and tv not being the same, to replace the character of Tyreese with T-dog, is an egregious change. Tyreese is one of the best parts of the walking dead series
Rodimus9
Rodimus9 - 6/29/2011, 10:48 PM
@superboyprime- Cause people read the comic and enjoyed the comic. That's why it's a tv show now. If WD had been a tv show for 5+ years I could understand adding a new type of zombie or creating new characters or storylines that weren't in the comic. This isn't resident evil. This is a character oriented show. A drama about people trying to survive. The zombies are just a bonus.

I welcome plot changes as long as they make sense, and the series eventually covers what the comic has. Just because T-Dog is in the show, doesn't mean Tyreese won't show up sometime down the road. I wouldn't like special zombies either, they'd remind me too much of Left 4 Dead.

@superboyprime - you are right we shouldnt get the exact same thing we get in the comics, mean we have the comics for that - but a mutated "good" zombie? now thats a [frick]ing retarded idea

I hope "t dog" dies slow and painful. Like that oriental kid from "from dusk til dawn". I really hate his character and his acting.

T-Dawg is the worst thing they could have possibly done.

The show id decent, but nowhere near as good as the comics.

@ SuperboyPrime

jesus christ, i'm glad you're not a writer. an angel/blade type character? so you want a kung-fu zombie that fights the other zombies? do you just want everyone to stop taking this show seriously? because thats what that ridiculous idea would do.

To be honest i havent even watched the tv-series yet because what i have seen and read in the trailers and storylines so far (new characters and all that shit) i afraid it will ruin the whole series from me.

I rather just keep reading the comics! Nothing can beat that shit!:)

I wanted this to be movie series anyway!
Directed by John Hillcoat (The Proposition, The Road) and starring Thomas Jane as Rick, Jennifer Connelly as Lori, Aaron Eckhart as Shane, Sarah Carter as Andrea and Robert De Niro as Dale

The show is quality. Stop hating on it just because it doesn't follow the comic word for word. Kirkman has his hands directly in the cookie jar for this show and if he likes the changes and has a hand in making them, it should be good enough for the rest of us. If you want a play by play of the books, just read the books again. The only thing I don't like about the show is Shane hasn't been shot in the face by Carl... not yet anyway. Yes T-Dog is annoying, but on the brightside, Daryl is [frick]in' awesome and I look forward to seeing how the sub-plot for him and Merle(Micheal Rooker's character) plays out.

SuperboyPrime, lmao I hope your not serious...

Alexdelarge, Thomas Jane is the only casting on your list that remotely fits. DeNiro as Dale? Dear god no(quality actor but in no way does he fit that role).

@ madking

right, we hate T-Dawg because we're white.

how about the fact that Tyreese (who is black) is one of the best characters in the comic, and it seems like he got snubbed for this clown?
CorndogBurglar
CorndogBurglar - 6/30/2011, 8:43 AM
@ themyth

just because Kirkman made changes doesn't mean i have to like it, lol. what kind of logic is that? Kirkman does mostly good stuff, but he's done stupid shit too. its not like he's perfect. just like at Incredible Wolfman, lol.

anyway, i agree, it is a quality show, and i can watch it, but its not as good as it could be.

CDB, lol that's not what I'm saying. That comment is aimed at people who hate solely on the basis that it's different from the comic. I have no issue's with someone taking it for what it is and then forming a positive/negative/neutral opinion on it, but to get all pissy just because it isn't a carbon copy of the book is whiny fanboy shit, and I'm sure you can agree with that ;)
lmao, incredible wolfman... touche CDB, touche.
