At the Beijing International Film Festival, Paul W.S. Anderson announced that he'd like to film a portion of his next
Resident Evil film in China. He also announced the title of the next film and gave a brief description of the plot.
Actress Bingbing Li will reprise her role as Ada Wong for the next installment of “Resident Evil,” according to director Paul W.S. Anderson. “Resident Evil 6″ or RESIDENT EVIL RISING will follow Alice (played by Milla Jovovich) and her crew as they rush to The Hive, where The Red Queen plots total destruction over the human race.
A return to
Resident Evil was expected, especially since his last venture away from the franchise resulted in the disastrous,
Pompeii. It may have bombed at the box office, but his last
Resident Evil did not. The fifth film in the series pulled in a healthy $240 million worldwide.

Resident Evil: Retribution will be released on DVD and Blu-ray December 21st. The film was directed by director Paul W.S. Anderson and stars Milla Jovovich, Michelle Rodriguez, Sienna Guillory, Oded Fehr, Bingbing Li, Johann Urb, Colin Salmon, Shawn Roberts, Boris Kodjoe and Kevin Durand.
