It appears World War Z has rebounded from some incredibly negative early press. In fact, the film happens to be Brad Pitt's biggest opening weekend to date according to Exhibitor Relations. With the sequel reportedly given the official greenlight from Paramount, the pressing question is whether or not Marc Forster will return at the helm as the director was at the center or the controversy. Below, you can see some of the wide array (mostly positive) of reactions to World War Z from various celebrities, comic book professionals and film journalists.

"United Nations employee Gerry Lane (Brad Pitt) traverses the world in a race against time to stop the Zombie pandemic that is toppling armies and governments, and threatening to decimate humanity itself. Mireille Enos plays Gerry’s wife Karen Lane; Daniella Kertesz is his comrade in arms, Segen. World War Z is an adaptation of the best-selling 2006 apocalyptic horror novel by Max Brooks. Instead of a grand narrative, the novel is a creative collection of individual accounts of survival during the 'Zombie War' where Brooks plays the role of the interviewer. The film has eschewed this format and opts for a more traditional storytelling format. Well-known writer J. Michael Straczynski wrote an initial screenplay that was truer to the source material but was tossed at the last second by Matthew Michael Carnahan to make the film more of an action movie. There's is preliminary talks of a sequel film, which is dependent upon World War Z's box office performance.”
