It might be a while before any of us get to go to the theater, but there are still plenty of movies on their way to Digital and On Demand to keep us entertained, and We Summon The Darkness looks like it might prove to be a devilish delight.
Directed by Marc Meyers (My Friend Dahmer), the horror comedy follows three friends (Alexandra Daddario, Keean Johnson and Maddie Hasson) on their way to a heavy metal concert when they see a news report about a series of ritualistic murders. They then decide to throw an after party at one of the girl's houses, and invite three guys to join them. But when the girl's father (Johnny Knoxville) comes home, all hell breaks loose.
Check out the trailer below and let us know if you plan on checking this one out. We Summon The Darkness is set for release on VOD on April 10.
On the way to a heavy metal concert, Alexis (Alexandra Daddario) and two girlfriends hear a news report of a local murder believed to be tied to a series of satanic killings. After the show, the girls invite three guys to join them at the estate owned by Alexis’s father, a fire-and-brimstone preacher (Johnny Knoxville). What starts as a party suddenly turns dark and deadly in this devilishly entertaining thriller.
