Everyone knows that there was a cartoon movie that came out based on the results. Please feel free to comment on who would win and why? Would you think this would be worthy as a big screen adaption?

Hulk has consistantly beaten Thor more than any other character in comics. Whether its because Thor holds back or not, Hulk has beaten him way more times than Thor has beaten Hulk.

Most of the time, Thor even has help. The Hulk once took on Thor, Iron Man, Hercules, Wonder Manand Doctor Strange all at the same time. The only way they won was because Strange transported Hulk to another dimension...if you can even call that winning.

The big reason is because Thor has a limit to his powers, and his lightning has been shown to have little effect on Hulk other than making him more mad. This always forces Thor to hand to hand fighting.

The Hulk has no limit to his strength, the angrier he gets, the stronger he gets, and you can always get a little more mad, right? Unless Thor finds some way to put the Hulk away very early, then the fight will always go in the Hulk's favor, because he gets stronger and stronger while Thor gets tired.

I haven't read the Plant Hulk comic book but I did watch the cartoon movie. I really enjoyed it. I don't know much about the red hulk but I will educated myself on it. I did read the comic, Red Hulk vs. Green Hulk. I thought it was a good read. Thank you for your comment.

The Planet Hulk movie was OK, but you HAVE to read the comics, it was very WIN. I don't think the movie even touched on the twist ending and why/how Hulk comes back to Earth for revenge and starts World War Hulk.

No contest. Hulk but the All Sky Father Zeus beat his ass in Hulk #622 early this year.

@Spock: Yeah, I remember that. Zeus owned his ass the whole time. and to add insult to injury, he made himself grow in size bigger than the Hulk to make it even more symbolic........

Thor could kill the Hulk without even leaving Asgard and still be consistent with the fictional universe we all have accepted with Marvel Comics. Thor has had more 'losses' against the Hulk and they both have certain fictional 'power sets' and 'motivations' but it's easy to try and handicap this like it's a real fight instead of looking at it like a story that someone is trying to tell.

Here are two good examples of what I mean:

1) Thor 385 - Thor is acting like an arrogant jerk and seeks out the Hulk because he needs a 'challenge.' To be fair, the Hulk was destroying a small town, but still, Thor is clearly the one in need of the butt whoopin'. And, boy does he get one. Hulk, after being pummeled by Mjolnir, get Thor to fight without it and proceeds to beat him basically with the entire town. I AM NOT EXAGGERATING! At one point, Hulk hits Thor with a freight train; the entire freight train. Eventually, the fight ends in a technical draw with the Hulk leaving after beating Thor into a crater. Even though Thor pops up at the end(a little bloody though) this is clearly a 'moral defeat.' Had this been a real fight, Hulk wins on points easily

2) Hulk Annual 2001 - Essentially a reverse of the above. Hulk is acting like an arrogant jerk and then winds up confronting Thor. The thunder god proceeds to mostly mop the floor with the Green Machine in the fight, but the Hulk does get a few good licks in in the process. However, Thor manages to score two clear 'knockouts' in the process, one by a bolt of lighting. In the end, the Hulk sulks off mad, leading to another technical draw, but Thor definitely won the fight and held the moral high ground, not only pounding the Hulk, but stopping a forest fire at the same time.

So, it's a story, folks. Which means it needs a moral. The moral, in fact, is the most important thing since it's a fictional world where the writer can make anything happen, as long as the reader is willing to believe it.

I could make Captain America beat Superman as long as I carefully established how a vibranium/steel alloy dampens a Kryptonian's physiology under a yellow sun. However, is that the story I WANT to tell?

Hulk smashes! Chaos War: Incredible Hulks, Korg says Thor almost hit as hard as Hulk (with the hammer)... then stresses "ALMOST". Hulk definitely has the strength. Thor has crazy power. A calmer Hulk survived blasts from Galactus and Professor Hulk (not stronger with rage) survived one from Thanos meant to disintegrate him. Even Thanos admitted that he has gone out of his way to avoid a fight with the Hulk (while fighting the Champion). Hulk's durability and healing factor make him basically immortal in mainstream continuity. He defies reality when he is angry enough. With Zeus, he wanted to die for the sins of his family and offered himself as a sacrifice for their redemption. Zeus said "wrong religion", refused him and continued to attack mercilessly. I think a rematch will go a little differently, though Zeus is still Zeus, Hulk has reason to be angry now.

@ Skaarjones I just love your pic with Thor getting a taste of his own medicine (hammer style)and Thor's final words "ACK". You know Thor has fought Mangog, but even Mangog has never cause such injuries to Thor like Hulk has given him. Case in point check out Thor face in Thor#385 and Hulk Annual 2001, while on the other hand Hulk in the same issues is just fine.

@Sturmpionier....Yea, you raise some good points. In the end, it depends on what the writer/editor wants to stress at the time of the story. A characters' needful humiliation, redemption, or just to sell some dam tix to the movie version of the character! Just look at the bios of both the Hulk and Thor, then you tell me who has the upperhand!! For Assgggaaarrddd!
