Marvel Studios’ “Iron Man 3” pits brash-but-brilliant industrialist Tony Stark/Iron Man against an enemy whose reach knows no bounds. When Stark finds his personal world destroyed at his enemy’s hands, he embarks on a harrowing quest to find those responsible. This journey, at every turn, will test his mettle. With his back against the wall, Stark is left to survive by his own devices, relying on his ingenuity and instincts to protect those closest to him. As he fights his way back, Stark discovers the answer to the question that has secretly haunted him: does the man make the suit or does the suit make the man? Starring Robert Downey Jr., Gwyneth Paltrow, Don Cheadle, Guy Pearce, Rebecca Hall, Stephanie Szostak, James Badge Dale with Jon Favreau and Ben Kingsley, “Iron Man 3” is directed by Shane Black from a screenplay by Drew Pearce & Shane Black and is based on Marvel’s iconic Super Hero Iron Man, who first appeared on the pages of “Tales of Suspense” (#39) in 1963 and had his solo comic book debut with “The Invincible Iron Man” (#1) in May of 1968. “Iron Man 3” is presented by Marvel Studios in association with Paramount Pictures & DMG Entertainment. Marvel Studios’ President Kevin Feige is producing & Jon Favreau, Louis D’Esposito, Stephen Broussard, Victoria Alonso, Alan Fine, Charles Newirth, Stan Lee & Dan Mintz are executive producers. The film hits May 3, 2013, and is distributed by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures. Marvel Studios will also release “Thor: The Dark World ” on November 8, 2013; “Captain America: The Winter Soldier” on April 4, 2014; “Guardians of the Galaxy” on August 1, 2014; the sequel to “Marvel's The Avengers” on May 1, 2015; and “Ant-Man” on November 6, 2015!

Awesome concept arts, love the armors, but what a waste of good Mandarin

why wasn't that space scene in the movie? :(

I really wanted to see IM go into space etc.. hoping to tie in GOTG. But oh well!

As usual, the concept art/designs are better than what we got in the final production. But, oh, well... I will say this, though. That pic of Mandarin (the one where he's standing with that statue) is [frick]ing sick! Damn, I [frick]ing would've loved that design if they had put it into the film. But I'm fine with this, though.....

Still badass, nonetheless.

I think we can agree that the best part about upcoming MCU films (like Thor: The Dark World, Captain America: The Winter Soldier, Gaurdiana of the Galaxy, Avengers 2, etc.) are their "Marvel's: Art of...." books. I just love looking at all the different designs, concept arts and ideas that they had for the film.

And that scene in that storyboard where that armor piece (looks like the 'Bones' armor to me) flies onto that Extremis soldier and starts taking out those other soldiers, AWWW MAN!! That would've been a sweet thing to see in the film. Dammit! All these great concepts poorly went to waste. :(

Damn the way he killed the Extremis soldier in the concept art is pretty badass. Wish he would've done it like that in the movie, instead of the unibeam just putting a hole in his chest. Would've made a lot more sense as to why he didn't come back.

@MARVELPSYCHO79 - Dude, you're not the only one. To have an office with concept arts of upcoming MCU films and ones that are in early development stages plastered onto the walls and you coming in everyday and seeing those? [frick]in' A, man. That'd be the BEST job to have. And I agree. Marvel does have the best concept art team. And to them, I give them [frick]ing kudos for working their asses off to please us fanboys. Kudos to them!

Remember how much of a big deal they were making with the space suit? Yeah... Not so much when you see the movie.

I will say I would of loved a lot of those concept scenes to be put into the movie, especially the space suit one.

I really enjoyed the art books for Cap, Thor, and The Avengers. I think this one will be pretty awesome too. There's always great stuff in these books. This one would definitely be worth checking out just for all the armors (which is what I plan to do once my library gets it!)

Why is it that i liked the movie but as time goes on i like it less and less the more i think about the twist.

Haha, I love the sketches of Iron Man disintegrating the one guy, and Hulk Buster throwing the guys up in the air for Iron Man to blow up. Seems like something Calvin would draw.

All those brilliant scenes that could have been of the individual armours dispatching the extremis soldiers in their own way....I definitely wish they had been able to put that in. I felt we missed out on a really good display of the power of the unibeam from the Heartbraker suit

of course i still love the battle we got at the end, it's just seeing these concept pieces....I'd have loved to have seen them on screen!

Also: MCU writers and producers, you suck. Do not fail this badly again. I'll hold on to the hope that some studio will have the balls to defy the Chinese government one day and portray a live-action, non-racist, inclusive, Chinese Mandarin with cosmic rings one day.

I'm still gonna buy this book. I wanna start to get the rest also. I may not have liked the movie but it had a lot of cool stuff in it. Why design all those cool suits and we barely saw them. I was legitimately angered by this. Destroying them all was a big screw up as well. But I really want this book to see all of them. All the Marvel movies have great concept art.
@TheSonicScrew
Exactly! I thought a scene like that would have definitely been in the movie.

Nice art - Marvel has the best artists period

As for the movie the twist cracked me up - (though I don't understand the people who can accept that but not John Blake)

The real let down for me was that Iron Man turned into Vanko and got a hard on for drones. And you can't emphasize that Tony is more than the suit by having him rely on 40+ of the damn things.

Would have been so much sweeter if the last scene had Tony with a "suitcase",screwdriver was cool but since New York was mentioned 20 times you'd think he'd keep at least one armor.

Anyone else bothered by the downgrade to flight stabilizers in his palms?
And why does Rhodey answer his phone like a codec call yet MkIII had hands free?
Why has Pepper taken out more villains than Tony?
Why did the giant rabbit's paws look like boobs?
How exactly do you charge an Iron Man suit anyway
And for someone on Extremis, Killian really feels the pain when he's pinched

Can't wait for Thor:TDW or the artbook, gonna be sick
