Iron Man 2 Mark VI Armor Unveiled!

Marvel Studios has finally allowed the release of promotional images for Kotobukiya's latest ARTFX statue series addition.

Many of you are probably already familiar with Kotobukiya, the company behind some of the finest statues and busts based off of DC, Marvel and Star Wars characters. A little bit of information that most statue collectors seem to overlook is that Marvel Studios works exclusively with Kotobukiya. Regarding their Iron Man line, Stan Winston Studios provides Kotobukiya with the exclusive designs and models to base their statues on. Today, Marvel has finally given a close look at the Mark VI Iron Man 2 Armor to the general public. It's definitely sleeker, slimmer and a bit more colorful:







Here are the details from the official press release:

Iron Man stands nearly 14 inches tall (1/6th scale) atop an exclusive cylindrical Repulsor Transmitter base. Like the previous Iron Man ARTFX Statues, the Mark VI includes LED lights in the eyes, chest, fists and base! In addition, the Mark VI has been further refined with a stronger LED light sequence, sharper edges on the base, and increased paint applications. The Mark VI constructed of high-quality cold cast porcelain, is individually numbered on the bottom of the base as part of a Limited Edition. An amazing statue on its own, the Mark VI is also a perfect companion piece to the armors from the first film!

@Joker Likewise, man. I also want one of those life-sized Hulk statues. The thing about it is this: I don't have anywhere to put the Hulk Statue. I mean, the thing is like 9 feet tall and 6 feet wide. Also, I'm flat broke. If I had money, I'd go out and see "The Wolfman".

I like it - in all honesty, it doesnt look all that different from the armour in the last movie and it makes sense to have a slightly updated suit for the sequel...it's what Tony has always done in the comic books! :)

@josh. Long time no talk buddy. quick question. My PS3 won't play blu ray or games anymore. I did a restore and that didn't work and now I can't go on line as it says my account is invalid and won't give me the option to change it. Any idea what is wrong. Another user on here said it might be my motherboard.

spideysweb is the front of your ps3 flashing ..yellow light.. if so the main board has fried .. it will still be ok for dvd but thats it .. it gose back to basic player .. can you still play games at 1080. if so are they freezing up or slow

i saw a program on chanel 4 about the yellow light .. a team of people sat outside sony in a van .. fixing ps3.s after sony said they couldnt be fixed .. they took the inside of the ps3 out put it in some sort of heat bag .. that resoldered the connections of the mother board... i no its a long shot .. but look at youtube .. enter your problem their see if their is a walk threw incase i am wrong my freind .. hope you get it sorted .life no bluray no fun i have iver 400 bluray films ..am lookig on net at mo 4 your problem

@ngu..thanks bud. This really sucks. My 10yr old just got the new reflex game for christmas and can't play it. last weekend I was really sick and just wanted to watch hulk again on blu ray and it wouldn't work. This blows.

@ngu..just so I now for sure the yellow light you are talking about is where exactly? The yellow light I am talking about that comes on only when a movie is trying to play is right beside the last usb port.

m8 . can feel that got a 8 year old supergirl.. check you tube enter your prob try diffrent ways of describeing it if it dosent come up straite away ..their are solveing pages on you tube that tell you if it can be sorted or if its fxxxxed m8 apart from that ime at a loss at mo but i am looking do like achallenge lol .. try you tube an let me no

no the blue light gose yellow .. the other 1 next to usb i think is the wi fi or internet .. it flashes when trying to connect ..

@ngu..ok so then I guess I don't have the ylod. When I put a blu ray in the green and blue lights stay on at the same time and blu ray's won't play and neither will games.

just looked at a reveiw of same problem .. the laser eye that reads the disk is not reading..it needs to go to a shop or get new 1 if cheaper .is it still under warrantee

spideysweb: Hey, good to see you man! :) I havent been online because I've moved and the area doesnt get broadband so I'm stuck just using mobile broadband on my laptop! (which unfortunately doesnt work with a PS3!)

I'll be honest with you - I cant tell you exactly what the problem is, only that I had the exact same problem last year! I could play games for a while and they would freeze, blu rays would either not play or would stop working within about 10mins and eventually only DVD's would play!

I contacted Sony, wiped everything off the same way you have and it made no difference! As I was out of warranty, I had get a replacement from Sony which cost me about half the price of a PS3 in the shops! The problem with mine was something to do with the disc laser being unable to read blu-rays...

It sounds like you have a similar problem but I cant work out what your online troubles could be caused from! Have you contacted Sony at all?

@ngu. It is over 2yrs old so no warranty. I will price it out and see how much a new laser eye would cost. Can't tell you enough how much I apprecite your help.

@josh, nice to hear from you pal. Yeah it does sound like it is the laser. I called Sony but boy were they ever rude. I don't know if it is because I am not from the U.S but boy they sure were not helpful. Going to price out the cost of a new laser and then go from there. Hope you are well buddy.

awesome work but....

...I never have liked the triangle chest piece. Too many heroes have a chest triangle, the circle always made Ironman stand out for me. Also, I prefer the 'bulk' of the mark IV than the 'slim' mark VI. Just my opinion.

am in england ..try regestering it online .. just change the date an where you got it from .. if it gose threw happydays .. it will comfirm theier an then for you .. sony sucks at most things ..once they have your money m8

@ngu..Can't register at all for online. Won't give me the option to change my current account or create a new one. I just checked some local repair guys and the cheapest was $110 bucks to fix. Not worth it when I can get a brand new one for $199. These guys wanted nothing to do with my once they found out I was from Canada.

spideysweb: I'm good thanks bud, how are things with you? I havent seen you on CBM for a while!

I considered looking for a new laser as well but there arent really a lot of places in the UK (and at least not that near me) to find someone to sort it out - I dont think that they're that expensive though so you may be lucky! My PS3 cost me £399 and I think it was £160 to get a new one!

I didnt find Sony too bad to deal with - they werent overly helpful though! I did read online that a lot of the 60GB PS3's had the laser problems but the only option they gave me was to have to pay for a "refurbished model"! Its been fine though since I got it around a year or so ago! (apparently they're basically spare parts with a new outer case)

The only problem I did have was how unreliable they were on when it would be delivered - I had to wait in for 3 days for it to arrive as they couldnt give me a definite date! I really wish you luck though man because after spending so much on something, I can understand how annoying it is when it just stops working!
