The guys at I Am Rogue recently caught up with Mark Ruffalo to discuss his recent thriller, Now You See Me, and future of his role as Marvel’s Bruce Banner/Incredible Hulk. Discussing his surprise cameo appearance in the post-credits scene of Iron Man 3, The Avengers actor said, “It was literally, they were about to wrap the movie and I saw Robert (Downey Jr.) at the Academy Awards and he had this idea. Marvel had had an idea but then they scraped it and I thought it wasn’t going to happen,” Ruffalo went on. “Then I saw Robert and he said, 'What do you think about coming and doing a day?' I said, 'Are you kidding me? Bang, lets do it!' We sort of spitballed that scene, then I came in and we shot for a couple of hours and laughed. I haven’t seen it yet but people seem to like it.” When the actor was asked about cameoing in other upcoming Marvel flicks, before reassembling with The Avengers in Joss Whedon’s 2015 sequel, Mark Ruffalo said, “I don’t know, maybe, maybe not...They haven’t talked about it with me...” What do you think?

If he really has a six picture contract use it wisely

The Avengers 2 & 3, Incredible Hulk 2 & 3. We need a Hulk again

reakingintelligent@ because marvel is being a pussy lately.

I loved what they did in phase 1 one. sure not everything was perfect or great but they have many qualities.

phase 2 is already making so many mistakes.
SPOLER ALERT/IRON MAN 3!!!

-The Mandarin not being the Mandarin or at least a non-powerful terrorist but an actor unstead was not a wise idea.
-Pepper Potts becoming a super-hero was a joke. if you complaind about Catwoman killing Bane unstead of BATMAN then this will make you even more upset.Fact is that in all 3 movies Tony Stark aka Iron Man haven't killed one villain, and pretty Pepper Potts already killed 2 of Iron Man foes.
Now there is this thing "Coulson lives" which is pathetic for a movies franchise but acceptable in the comic book world. characters don't die there.

I needed to spill that out but now im gonna say that we need Incredible Hulk 2 in phase 3. Before Avengers 3.

They should do an Iron Man/Hulk team up movie in the future.

Just as I thought. Ruffalo was having Pizza next door and bumped into RDJ and they threw this in last minute. Hard to believe the dawn of Phase 2 doesn't get an epic and/or mysterious kick-ass after-credits scene.

I thought Guardians would be teased, or why Stark gave Harley the work station.

The after credits scene doesn't spoil anything in the movie.

It's just a fun little scene.

saw Iron Man 3 yesterday. Not bad. Good entertainment.
Although some very bad choices where made.

*Rhodey/Cheadle was wasted.
*The President sucked
* techno-thriller ? Hmm ... This wasn't even a real thriller. And if so, a purely written one.
* the twist ? it wasn't even the real twist. They gave it away like in the half of the movie.

As for the Mandarin : yeah, they [frick]ed this up.
The videos where scary, Kingsley nailed it to a tee ... why would you wanna go with the twist ? WHY ?! He could be the greatest villain ever ... Wasted opportunity.

- Maya Hansen character (although dig here speech about moral issues of her job)

- Guy Pearce was obviously miscasted

But the biggest problem ? Post 3D conversion. Worst post conversion. Ever.

I swear, sometimes i couldn't see a shit.

I was supposed to see Star Trek 2 in 3D (it's not like I have any choice - almost every movie in my country is now "exclusively" in 3D ) but now that i think about it ...
Think I'm gonna wait for blue ray.

Good sides ?

- the kid rocked
- Trevor was funny
- extremis soldiers
- some really good jokes

should have been a mid credits scene, wasn't worth the 13 minute after credits wait at all

@jerryblake Star Trek 2 was originally filmed in 3d so it should be alright, you should never watch any movie that's post converted, should always watch films in 2d, only ever watch a post conversion if there's good feedback, which is usually unlikely. Cinema's lately having being pushing 3d down people throats. It's nothing but a cheap gimmick that doesn't add anything to the movie going experience, and is simply an opportunity to extort and con more money from the consumers. Star Trek into Darkness is a good movie, and should be viewed in the cinema, go watch it

You know that Marvel fans are spoiled when they start complaining about an after credits scene featuring Tony Stark and Bruce Banner. 4 years ago, a scene like this would have shocked audiences and fans would be crying from the sheer joy and excitement.

I thought it was a really good after credits scene - it helped make a bit more sense out of why Tony was telling the story. I mean, it coulda been something else, but I liked it for what it was.

I liked it. You can tell they're buds. It's great. I loved it when Ruffalo said he doesn't have the temperament. He's great at acting like he has a serious problem that he has to have laugh at himself a little for lest he go completely insane. I loved it.

@brazilian It wasn't that there wasn't a Mandarin...They just made also Mandarin...which I agree wasn't great, but honestly in a movie stand point, was a great reveal.

I guarantee most comic book readers saw that twist coming, It may have not been great to see on screen for us, but for regular movie goers who don't give two s**ts about the comics, thought it was awesome.

It was just okay. I guess I wanted more--something that hinted of things to come like all the previous after credit scenes in Marvel flicks.

I just don't understand how you plan to introduce Thanos and then continue to emphasize comedy in these films.

These after credits scenes are crucial in expanding the universe seriously. This is the first one to be a joke with no purpose. So you have your first joke after credits scene after teasing a dark villain?

What? Is Avengers 2 going to be Tom and Jerry? Doctor Who?
mctrinket
mctrinket - 5/12/2013, 7:32 PM
The thing that bothered me most was the nonchalant way he wraps up the whole super-powered Pepper thing, by just saying something like "Yeah. I fixed her." So...does she still have powers? Does the Extremis serum still work and can it heal and regrow limbs? Etc.
jerryblake
jerryblake - 5/12/2013, 7:32 PM
@Ocelot

like i said, it's not that I have any choice. At all.
They not showing this movies in 2D (maybe Star Trek, but definitely not Marvel movies).

I would love to see Star Trek, but if I can't see any action - then what's the point ?

Best post 3D conversion - The Avengers (note: most action scenes where filmed during the day) and Transformers 3 (half 3D/half post converted)

Worst : Iron Man 3, Thor
(night scenes !!!)
