The Iron Man movie may be helmed by Alex Proyas (I, Robot; The Crow, Dark City), according to IESB.

Last year, New Line gave Marvel back the rights to do the film after a plan to have Nick Cassavetes direct fell through. Paramount is likely to pick up the distribution rights.

Producer Don Murphy told the fan site, the Iron Man movie "needs to be made" and that he's looking for a "Sam Raimi-style" director. He added that he "wouldn't be surprised" if there were some news very soon.
