Marvel Studios’ “Iron Man 3″ pits brash-but-brilliant industrialist Tony Stark/Iron Man against an enemy whose reach knows no bounds. When Stark finds his personal world destroyed at his enemy’s hands, he embarks on a harrowing quest to find those responsible. This journey, at every turn, will test his mettle. With his back against the wall, Stark is left to survive by his own devices, relying on his ingenuity and instincts to protect those closest to him. As he fights his way back, Stark discovers the answer to the question that has secretly haunted him: does the man make the suit or does the suit make the man?

Iron Man 3 was directed by Shane Black, and will hit theaters May 3, 2013! The film stars: Robert Downey Jr. (Tony Stark), Gwyneth Paltrow (Virginia Potts), Don Cheadle (Col. James Rhodes), and Ben Kingsley as The Mandarin.

Most people are just whining about the twist, but it's a great movie.

Yes it's bad. I saw it yesterday in Spain and the first one is infinitely better, even IM2 is more entertaining. I think it's one of the worst Marvel Studios movies to date.

Yes, everything feels lazy. Not to mention Tony Stark's stupid behaviour during the whole movie or the fact that it should be called "Tony's PTSD".

People are overrating it so much. There are a lot of misplaced jokes, Guy Pearce villain is bad, his motivation doesn't make much sense. The twist is kind of cool, but comic book fans shall feel offended. The Extremis technology is not explained very well, being very forced and dumb at points. Also, only 40% of the movie has actual iron man. The plot is really weak. I can't say much more without spoiling the movie. and no, the bitching is not just because of the twist, but the whole script is really weak and lazy. Marvel is building an universe, and they don't seem to be interested in doing anything in their first phase II movie to establish stuff! I shall say more after the movie lands on USA.

Dude, rotten tomatoes and imdb don't form opinions, that's my opinion but people should open their eyes. Don't you think half the critics who gave positive critic for iron man 3 were paid? Gimme a break. I'm not a troll, I'm just giving my opinion on an awful movie. it managed to be weaker than iron man 2.

@LucasMend

It was worse than Iron Man 2?
JuanCobble
JuanCobble - 4/28/2013, 9:41 PM
the worst is that the Disney/Marvel fans became some like the Apple and Twilight fans, you cant win an argument with they, the movies are superb and other opinion doesnt count...

Iv seen IM3 in NZ last week and its great! much better than Iron Man 2 and very much on par with Iron Man 1. It may not be to everyone's taste as its more story telling than flashy. As far as the twist goes im sure most hard core comic book fans will not enjoy it so much but i didn't mind it at all, it actually helped the story they were telling.
LucasMend
LucasMend - 4/28/2013, 9:45 PM
@sups92 Iron Man 2 is a bad but likeable and fun film, Iron Man 3 is fun and boring. Well, in the script is almost the same. While Iron Man 2 had a nice but bad development script idea, Iron Man 3 had a confusing and lazy script idea, it wanted to go big, but it fell really ugly.

Ok, so my opinion on it was this...
- Yes, I was disappointed in the big twist, but overall, I still enjoyed the movie.
- As a standalone film I have few problems with it, but as part of the MCU it felt out of place and disruptive.
- Really, I think my main thought on IM3 is the same as those I had on Nolan's Batman trilogy; "Is it a great movie? Yes. Is it a great Iron Man movie? Not really"

LucasMend - 4/28/2013, 9:46 PM
LizardKing71, IMO from best to worst:
The Avengers>Iron Man>TIH>Captain America>Iron Man 2 and a tie between Iron Man 3 and Thor as the weakest/worst.

*SPOILER*

I don't know why people complain so much about the Mandarin when his powers include STINKY POOP!!! This is how bad this movie is, the character reduced to a lame poop joke.

SpidaTrav, sorry, haven't seen gi joe.
JuanCobble
JuanCobble - 4/28/2013, 9:48 PM
@SpidaTrav the movie is not a pain to watch, its funny but is a bigg disapointment, is very childish and have BIG plotholes, UNNESESARY CHARACTERS, like the kid, practically no villain etc, if you want to see a very expensive episode of Avengers:EMH go watch Ironman 3
but if you want to see a real summer movie, this isnt your film

Saw it yesterday and it's definetely not the best Iron Man movie, neither the best Marvel movie. I'm kinda disappointed.
