I just saw Tron: Legacy last night and loved it. It took the original and improved on it 10 fold...I would have to vote for it...First...

I haven't seen enough of those films to give an opinion. I'd say out of the films on the list I HAVE seen, Inception or Scott Pilgrim.

Wow. The Academy has actually nominated TRON: Legacy for the Visual Effects Oscar even though the film used cgi as a special effect. That's cheating. ;)

Scott Pilgrim and Inception were the most inventive and are the better films on this list, but Alice in Wonderland was all about the CGI. Of this shortlist Alice is the most deserved.

I would say Inception simply because the hallway scene was done without CGI. That's pretty impressive IMO.

INCEPTION HANDS DOWN...no others compare

Tron Legacy deserves it. Inception is probably gonna win just because it has to.

Alice in Wonderland? Seriously? Just watching the previews, I could tell that had some of the worst CGI evR!

Scott Pilgrim by far, it was the most inventive and original. Inception will end up winning though, and although there was some very cool CGI there, none of it compared to the bad ass electric rock n roll gorilla vs the two headeed techno dragon.

I've only seen Iron Man 2 out of those. I'm guessing either Tron or Inception will win.

I think Tron Legacy should definitely get it. If not for the amazing visuals, then for the fact the first one was denied it 30 years ago because at the time using computers was considered "cheating"

Inception or Scott Pilgrim.

I want Scott Pilgrim to win, but Inception deserves it I guess

I would like IM2 to win. But Inception might take almost all the awards of the evening, including this one. But I still hope IM2 gets it!

I haven't seen that Scott pilgrim movie but, but i think Inception has to win the oscar, because all the others have shown SFX that we already have seen in other movies, so there's nothing new to see in those ones.
Inception blowed my brain out.
