Armie Hammer On His BATMAN Costume For George Miller's Cancelled JUSTICE LEAGUE

While promoting his upcoming film, The Lone Ranger, Armie Hammer was asked about his Batman costume in George Miller's defunct Justice League film. The actor lights up as he describes how radically different the suit was from previous incarnations.

In the video below, Hit Fix's Drew McWeeny mentions to Armie Hammer that he has seen the concept designs that Weta Workshop created a long time ago for George Miller's motion-capture Justice League. It would've starred Hammer as Batman/Bruce Wayne, Adam Brody ("The O.C.") as the Barry Allen/The Flash, Common ("Hell on Wheels") as the John Stewart/Green Lantern, Hugh Keays-Byrne ("Mad Max: Fury Road") as The Martian Manhunter, Megan Gale as Wonder Woman, and Santiago Cabrera ("Merlin") as Aquaman. The movie fell apart when the estimated budget soared upwards of $300 million. As far as I know, none of the designs from Weta have ever surfaced online, but I'm sure down the road it will.

@Levi

No real description of it except the mention of pistons and springs on the bat suit, Miller wanted to go in a direction far away from what DC was comfortable with (Hammers words), and that DC said yeah sure run with it, do what you want.

The next Batman should wear the suit of the New 52 version. Black on Gray. Im tired of the all black bat suit.

The Begins Batsuit only worked during night scenes. It would have looked horrendous in the TDK interrogation scene and the daylight scenes in TDKR. That being said, I loved the Batman Begins suit. It made him look more intimidating. Like a real bat. You could see nothing but black.

Dear WB's,

Don't make Armie Hammer as Batman

And steal this suit from these guys and use it in the reboot:

Sounds Interesting...but the suit in 'BAtman Begins' is the Best one one far.

To me too. I want they make a suit like Arkham City in tne next movie.

Batman Begins suit was the best. Most truthful while maintaining realism. The Dark Knight was a little too realistic, like u can barely see the bat on his chest cuz all the body armor shapes. Give him like a Batman Begins suit with a gray torso and black bat symbol, with crazy out of this world gadgets to keep up with like Superman and Flash and the others, actually he should show Superman up just to like kind of make it a funny thing while showing his relevance.

First off i completely agree with Nomis. I've been saying it on this site for years that the bat suit in Begins was a million times better, cooler and looked more intimidating than the weak looking ones in TDK and TDKR.

Also, i'm getting sick of Johnny Depp

In the article it says the movie "fell apart when the estimated budget soared upwards of $300 million". Why was the high budget a problem for the studio? There is NO DOUBT that this movie would have killed at the box office, even if the movie completely sucked. Just having all these iconic characters on the screen would be enough of a box office draw, and it would have meant that WB would have had a team-up franchise way before the avengers.

Seems like a weird move to terminate the project just due to a $300 mil budget, other factors must have come into it (i think the writers strike had something to do with it's demise, if i recall correctly).

My only problem with the Nolan batsuits was that it's written that these things are made of carbon fiber and kevlar -- really solid hunks of material, but as soon as they moved, you could tell from a mile away that it was all rubber. Like, any time Bale constricted his shoulders, this supposedly hard piece of kevlar would roll in on itself and shake like rubber.

Hopefully in Batman's next incarnation his suit will be more like in the comics. I'm tired of all the Kevlar bullet proof heavy tank like armor. I get that the dark knight trilogy was going for realism so it's understandable why the chose to make the suit look like that but I'm hoping the next batman will exist in a more comic book inspired world where Batman values speed and agility over heavy and strong. A world where he doesn't need bullet proof armor because he is quick and agile enough to take down the gunman before the guy can get off a shot.

They should use a suit similar to the one in Arkham Origins. Cast Wes Bentley as the next Batman in JL
