BOX OFFICE: JUSTICE LEAGUE Becomes The First DC Comics Movie To Pass $100 Million In China

There's once again a little bit of good news for Warner Bros. and the DC Films Universe as Justice League has become the first DC Comics adaptation to pass the $100 million mark in the Middle Kingdom...

While Justice League certainly isn't a box office flop, it is a major disappointment for Warner Bros. and the signs are currently pointing to a sequel - and Flashpoint - not becoming a reality as a result. However, we do at least have some positive news today as the Zack Snyder/Joss Whedon helmed release has today become the first DC Comics adaptation to pass the $100 million mark in China.

The Dark Knight was never released in China and The Dark Knight Rises earned $52.7 million. Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice reached $95.7 million but Justice League has now scored $100.8 million.

Of course, this pales in comparison to what Marvel movies have made in the Middle Kingdom and things are looking no better for Justice League elsewhere as its still on track to only make as much as Man of Steel did in 2013 ($668 million). That's a terrible result and one which has put it on track to be the lowest grossing film in the DC Films Universe. Let us know your thoughts on this news below.
