Whatever happens, Justice League is going to be a box office disappointment. The first gathering of this superhero team should have broken pretty much every record out there but as things stand, Warner Bros. looks set to lose upwards of $100 million. It's thought that the DC Comics adaptation currently has around $505 million at the worldwide box office, though, which isn't a bad total as things go.
However, after scoring the lowest opening in the DC Films Universe to date, Justice League is going to need to pick up the pace (especially with Star Wars: The Last Jedi just two weeks away from release).
After all, Man of Steel made $668 million, so the movie needs to make more than that to avoid being the lowest grossing release in this shared universe. That would be nothing short of an embarrassment for Warner Bros. and would put the breaks not only on a sequel but that Flashpoint movie as well.
How much do you guys think Justice League will ultimately make at the worldwide box office? Do you think it can beat Man of Steel? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section down below.
