What a day it's been for Justice League news, eh? Now, DC Comics has unveiled another wave of variant covers which will celebrate the release of Justice League in theaters this November. As you can see, they feature the likeness of the team has been reimagined by a variety of comic book artists but the most intriguing thing about them is the fact they tease the inevitable resurrection of Superman.

Below, we see Action Comics #991 by Yanick Paquette, Superman #35 by Renato Guedes, Aquaman #30 by Liam Sharp, Detective Comics by Cully Hamner, Justice League by Freddie E. Williams II, and Trinity by Ben Oliver (the latter three don't have specific issue numbers yet but are coming in November).

It's a shame Superman doesn't make a full on appearance here but Warner Bros. has very deliberately kept the Man of Steel out of almost all marketing materials as we still don't know what the method of his return will be. There's one final Justice League trailer on the way, of course, but here's hoping the studio is able to resist spoiling Superman's resurrection in that. What do you think of the covers?

It's such a ridiculous "tease." Gee, I wonder if he'll be in it.

@Ha1frican - ...the Green Lantern would have made this movie perfect!

@Ha1frican - The third one I think is one of the weakest. And I love Guedes, but that Wonder Woman is totally off. The likeness is on point, but it seems separate from the rest of the body. As if the face was drawn first and then the body was drawn afterwards. It creates an awkward spot with the neck because of that.

@DTor91 - that is off for sure

I can't be hyped for the resurrection of a character who died too soon, and like a f*cking dumbass.

@Spidey91 - I felt the same way watching Star Trek 3

@IronGenesis - old Star Trek 3 or new Star Trek 3? I haven't seen neither of them.

@Spidey91 - Orginal. Well I guess I don't want to spoil anything. Let's drop it. Lol

@IronGenesis - aren't the odd numbered Trek films considered to be the bad ones?

@IronGenesis - I think ST3 would be a good comparison if you're counting by the movies. If you're counting his appearances since the TV show, then he's 30 appearances in by the time he died.

@Spidey91 - yeah they are not as strong overall. But each odd film has its moments

@gulducati - but for someone like myself I didn't know a whole show existed prior and only 2 films in it worked just fine...classic even.

@IronGenesis - Yes, but @Spidey91 felt differently.

I hate that the Flash's lightning is blue....why would it not be yellow...like it's always been? To "ground" the movie? It's a superhero movie....

@JackShephard23 - I've been saying this for awhile... Doesn't blue lightning signify one of highest levels of the speed force? Seems a little early for that with this Flash.

@JackShephard23 - I know little about Flash or the significance of the colour of his lighting . But I think it might just be a way to help make his powers stand out from the others during action sequences.
Wonder Woman seems to have a yellowish tint to her "powers" (the lasso and when she bashes her gauntlets) while superman has the red of his eye beams.
Making the Flashes lighting blue makes his powers stand out.

@JackShephard23 - you people will complain about anything.
