JUSTICE LEAGUE MORTAL Would Have Featured An Epic Battle Between Superman And Wonder Woman
Jay Baruchel was going to play the villainous Maxwell Lord in George Miller's Justice League Mortal and the actor has revealed details on what sounds like an epic brawl between Superman and Wonder Woman.
Justice League Mortal was in development from director George Miller before a writers strike brought the project to a crashing halt. Set to star the likes of Armie Hammer and Common as motion capture versions of characters like Superman and Green Lantern, it would have seen the team go head to head with the villainous Maxwell Lord. However, Jay Baruchel has revealed some interesting new details.
Apparently, Lord would have used his powers to take control of the Man of Steel and pit him against Wonder Woman in a battle which sounds even bigger than the one between Batman and Superman last year! It sounds like a clear winner would have been chosen too as Superman unleashed his powers.
"There’s a scene where Maxwell Lord brainwashes Clark and all of a sudden this guy’s got Superman as a weapon. But in order for me to do this – to get in to a Kryptonian brain – I start bleeding out of every f*cking orifice because it takes that much to get into the head of a Kryptonian. And then I turn him into Red-Eye Superman, and there’s this big a** fight between him and Wonder Woman where he breaks her wrists."
That sounds awesome and would have no doubt been a sight to behold. These days, moviegoers seem to be over the whole hero vs. hero thing, though, but it would be interesting to see Henry Cavill and Gal Gadot go to war with each other! What do you think of these new Justice League Mortal details?
