RUMOR: An Extended Cut of JUSTICE LEAGUE Possibly Confirmed For Blu-Ray Release

Is it possible that an extended edition of JUSTICE LEAGUE is on its way? A new online listing indicates it just might be! We’ve got the details after the jump!

After reports originally surfaced that Warner Bros. required JUSTICE LEAGUE to have a runtime under two hours, fans wondered if it would be enough time to tell the story of the League’s formation. Unfortunately, it may not have been as critics and fans almost unanimously agreed that the film didn’t dedicate enough screen time to introducing new characters, developing a villain, and establishing the main conflict.

However, there may be hope yet!

Over at Amazon Germany, a newly-listed preorder for JUSTICE LEAGUE includes a runtime of 135 minutes—a full 15 minutes more than the theatrical cut’s just-barely-under two hours. Perhaps we’ll get a film that actually does the story justice (pun absolutely intended).

Of course, it’s always possible that this is just a mislabeling, but we’re remaining optimistic. After all, both Batman v. Superman and Suicide Squad were given extended cuts, so it wouldn’t be outside of the norm for the DC Cinematic Universe.

How about it? Would you want to see more JUSTICE LEAGUE? Sound off in the comments!

@ChangAlang - yeah but 5 out of 15 mins is prob extended credits so technically 10. in my opinion extra 10 mins wont save a disappointing film.

@mastakilla39 - I never got round to seeing JL but you may be right about that extra 10 not helping.

WB's extended cut pretty much means the movie that was in theaters will be further cut down

Man WB needs their heads checked. Some of their greatest movies like LOTR and HP were a long line of successful films.

Also note WB that those movies are well over 2 hours! I know they can do better, in fact DC deserves better.

@JoeMomma29 - Man...as much as I loved the main cast of JL, that 2 hour call from some idiot at the top really angers me so much. I keep thinking to myself...who would possibly think it would be a good idea to have a 2 hour JUSTICE LEAGUE movie?? It is so baffling.

I truly wanted to put some blame on Whendon but I think he was put between a rock and hard place IMO. I really wished they would have let Zack finished his trilogy.

@JoeMomma29 - No... feel free to throw some Whedon's way. He didn't have to reshoot some of Snyder's scenes and replace it with that [frick]ing awful mouth and awkward Buffyesque dialogue (Itchy?!?). Also it was his choice to bring in (Perpetually stuck in the 90's) Danny Elfman, who thought it was a brilliant idea to include not one but two themes from TOTALLY DIFFERENT MOVIES.

So go for it mate. :)
