VIDEO: Henry Cavill Mourns His Moustache And Pokes Fun At Superman's CGI Mouth In JUSTICE LEAGUE

Henry Cavill's weird CGI face is pretty much all anyone could talk about coming out of Justice League and in a new video mourning the loss of his moustache, the actor cleverly pokes fun at the DC movie.

Joss Whedon reshot a huge chunk of Justice League and because Henry Cavill was hard at work on Mission: Impossible - Fallout at the time, he had to shoot all his Superman scenes with a moustache. That was later CGI'd out by Warner Bros. with mixed results as the Man of Steel's bizarre looking mouth caught the attention of moviegoers and became something of a running joke in the process. 

Now, Henry Cavill has taken to Instagram to reveal that he's finally been allowed to shave the damn thing off and he clearly couldn't resist taking a few swipes at the DC Comics adaptation in the process. 

As you can see by watching the video below, he promises that his moustache hasn't been removed by CGI and in the gallery of images showing the actor with facial hair, the British actor has included that now infamous shot of Superman you can see in the teaser above. Cavill clearly sees the funny side of the whole situation but will he ever return as Superman? For now, that obviously remains to be seen.

@Saga - showed my wife the scenes where the cgi was done and she said, that's not him, who did they get to replace him? Ha ha ha ha ha ha. What a terrible mistake WB made.

It's funny how people think Snyder's cut would be better than what we got.
Think about it. If WB went to such lengths to chop up the film the way they did then something went seriously wrong.
And if some of things I've heard that were dropped from Snyder's cut (all the people in the bank during the Wonder Woman scene ultimately dying in the explosion) then, while we may have gotten a bullet, we certainly dodged a missile.

I’m a big believer in letting the personality of the actor shine through when creating heroic universes. This has worked out with all the best superhero flicks. Allow the actor’s personality to mold the character a little ... it’s not easy for audiences to watch movie after movie of Batman’s boring brooding or Superman’s alien angst. Both Cavill and Batfleck are interesting dudes ... let them weave a bit of themselves in there ... if they ever make another movie as those heroes again.

@obredaan - I don't know. I thought there were quite a few of those moments in both films. Particularly the scene where Superman's in the interrogation room and after he smashes the spy satellite in Man of Steel.

Superman's little conversation with Lex after his fight with Batman:

Superman: You've lost

Lex: I don't know how to lose.

Superman: You'll learn.

and the "Is she with you?" scene in Batman v Superman. I would do anything to get all the scenes he filmed with Snyder and Whedon. He is, was, and always will be the best Superman since Christopher Reeve.
