The NY Times has published a new article in which they interviewed Kevin Tsujihara. He's the current CEO of Warner Bros. Entertainment. Late last year, Tsujihara was named the successor to Barry Meyer as CEO and officially took the reins at the beginning of March. In the Times article, Tsujihara reveals that Warner Bros. will soon be announcing a new film series based on a DC Comics property. Brooks Barnes, the author of the piece, follows with an interesting statement regarding Justice League, which you can read in the quote below. I would caution that Barnes' Justice League comment might just be speculation. Though, he could have been privy to that information while interviewing Tsujihara.
As for DC Entertainment, cross-studio collaboration to make better use of its comic book characters appears to have accelerated considerably since Mr. Tsujihara took over, in part because he eliminated some management layers. (He has not named a chief operating officer and did not replace Mr. Rosenblum and Mr. Robinov, choosing instead to divide up their duties and assume some himself.) Two new television shows are coming to the CW and Fox, including one based on the Flash and another on a young Batman, and a film series will be announced in the near future, Mr. Tsujihara said. It is expected to include a “Justice League” movie.

Underscoring his aggressive approach to the DC Comics universe, Mr. Tsujihara and Dan Fellman, Warner’s domestic film distribution chief, recently moved the studio’s untitled Batman-Superman movie — a hotly anticipated follow-up to last year’s “Man of Steel” — to a release date in May 2016 previously claimed by Marvel for one of its own films. It created an industry dust-up, and Marvel retaliated with a date change of its own. But the move sent a blunt message: Warner takes a back seat to no one. - nytimes.com

BATMAN/SUPERMAN - Zack Snyder will direct the film from a screenplay being written by Chris Terrio from a screenplay by David S. Goyer and a story co-created by Goyer and Snyder. Zack Snyder’s Superman/Batman film stars Henry Cavill, reprising his role as Superman/Clark Kent, and Ben Affleck as Batman/Bruce Wayne. The film will also reunite “Man of Steel” stars Amy Adams as Lois Lane, Laurence Fishburne as Perry White, Diane Lane as Ma Kent, Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor and Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman/Diana Prince. Zack Snyder’s untitled Superman/Batman film which will now be arriving in theaters May 6, 2016.

Nothing new. Of course they're planning to make Justice League. The two relevant questions are:

1) When?

2) Will we see some more solo movies before?

If they're not shooting Batman vs. Superman and Justice League back-to-back, I have a strong feeling they're going to do at least a Wonder Woman movie very soon. I hope so.

If it is expected to include a JL movie, that is saying that he isn't talking about a JL series movie. So we'll get a new DC character series that will be attached to JL.

Did I understand that correctly?

After witnessing how amazing Captain America: The Winter Soldier was (watched it 2 times), I just couldn't care less about DC anymore. They had to step up their game a looong time ago. I don't know if they can compete with Marvel anymore. Said by a former fan of DC as well.

A Booster Gold and Blue Beetle team up movie would rock. A Doom Patrol movie would be nice. A Forever People movie would also be great. A Super Young Team movie would be interesting. But who am I kidding it won't be any of those.

If WB wanted to be crazy and nice they would make four movies a year. You could have Martian Manhunter, Flash, Green Lantern & Batman one year. The next Superman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman & Black Lightning. The next year do Static, Green Arrow, Hawkman & Justice League.

That would work for me. I totally would be willing to pay for four DC movies a year.

Announce it like this.

First image of Superman and Batman together. Then have the Batman/Superman logo come in behind them.

Then have the logo transform in the Justice League logo, pull the camera back and have silhouettes form around Superman and Batman.

Expectations for ComicCon in July with DC:

1. Superman vs Batman will have an official title (Maybe Man of Tomorrow? Like with Lex)
2. Superman's new costume, Batman and Wonder Woman will be fully revealed in terms of appearance
3. Small teaser for the movie. Something small like Henry Cavil as Clark Kent walking down an alley and seeing a swarm of bats and says 'He's coming...'.
4. Information will be given on low budget films.
5. The Rock will reveal he is playing Black Adam/Aquaman/Lobo/Shazam
6. Arkham Knight will have a new trailer
7. A Suicide Squad game will be confirmed
8. Young Justice Season Three will be teased/New DC cartoon series will begin

Oh DC, my body is ready.
