Zack Snyder's next project remains a mystery but he recently teamed up with friends and family to shoot a new short movie called Snow Steam Iron. To watch it, you'll have to download the Vero app (which you can do by following the link in the Tweet below) but it's a definite return to form for Snyder and full of the unique visuals he brought to movies like 300, Sucker Punch, and the amazing Watchmen.

The R-Rated short stars Wonder Woman's Samantha Jo - she played an Amazon - and the synopsis reads: "Snow gently falls on the blood-stained streets of a seedy out-of-time New York City. Steam envelopes the nightmare unfolding within its narrow alleys. Iron is the will of the one who would dare to resist… fight… survive." It's worth downloading the app to watch so be sure to check it out!

To watch it, you'll have to download the Vero app

Pity, I was genuinely interested in seeing what he's come up with here. :(

@Kyos - Having a hard time downloading a free app?

@JoeMomma29 - Urm, I suppose I could manage?! I just have no desire to do so. This short interested me, but ultimately 4 minutes of Snyder are just not enough for me to put up with something I have zero interest in.

You guys do know Vero is free?

You can just download it for a few minutes, watch the film, then cancel it.

It's really not that hard.

i've been thinking about this since 2013,Snyder should make shorter movies with lower budgets thats where his creativity would shine i think

@auditore - You're right. His style is more unique here.

His films really do all have the same aesthetic. His style really shines in a low budget sphere, more so than it does in a bigger budget one imo. It's more distinctive here at least.

Seems very Sucker Punch.

Just saw it. Movie was amazing for what it was. Shot on an iPhone, no budget, with friends and family. Say what you will about Snyder, but to me he has such a unique vision and he proved that with this short.

@ArkhamClown - I agree but feel he needs a GOOD writing partner. SUCKER PUNCH was beautiful to watch but the story was horrible and the characters were kinda 'flat'.

Also, can he only do dark stuff??
ArkhamClown
ArkhamClown - 9/20/2017, 11:23 AM
@ChuckV - That's true. Story isn't really his thing. He's a visual director and his vision involves a dark setting and atmosphere. I agree it's not for everyone and not all of his projects are 10/10 but I resonate with his movies and personally enjoy them.
