ZACK SNYDER'S JUSTICE LEAGUE Will Feature Darkseid, Confirms The Filmmaker

Many characters ended up on the cutting room floor when Joss Whedon took charge of Justice League, but director Zack Snyder has now confirmed that his version will include iconic DC Comics baddie Darkseid!

There's a lot fans didn't get to see in Justice League after Joss Whedon trimmed the film down and decided to devote screentime to a Russian family on the run from Steppenwolf. Entire subplots were removed, while characters like Ryan Choi, Iris West, and Martian Manhunter all ended up being cut.

The biggest casualty, however, was Darkseid.

The iconic comic book villain was meant to play a small, but key role in Zack Snyder's film, appearing in visions, the final act, and that battle on Earth for the Mother Boxes that would have taken place thousands of years ago (as Uxas).

While speaking to The Hollywood Reporter, Snyder talked about his excitement for the release of Zack Snyder's Justice League, and mentioned that fans can "expect Darkseid" in his cut of the movie. The filmmaker has shared images of the villain before, while it's previously been confirmed that Ray Porter played him.

We've caught glimpses of Uxas in the past, but most fans are keen to see how he was depicted in the present. Had Snyder been given the opportunity to make Justice League: Part 2, Darkseid would have been the lead villain, with Superman under his control thanks to the Anti Life Equation.

The biggest question is will we finally see Dan Amboyer as Green Lantern? Also I think they might shoot the Martian Manhunter scene

@Nemesis17then - Amboyer wasn't GL. He was just some random pilot.

Getting to see Darksied on film is the one saving grace of this cut. It's also probably better that it releases next year to avoid the comparisons to Thanos.

But thanks to Snyder basically revealing the ending of the movie we know he's not actually going to fight the League. He just appears through a boom tube and has a stare-down contest with them.

What are they going to do? They can't make a Justice League Part 2 and 3 because they don't have all the actors anymore. Are they going to put this version in the New Gods movie?

@IronMandarin - Doubtful considering New Gods already a few drafts in, and Snyder Cut was only just announced. This is assuming New Gods even happening.
