ROBIN HOOD Star Taron Egerton Confirms That He Won't Return For The Third KINGSMAN Movie

We know that the next Kingsman movie will be set during the first World War but many fans assumed that we'd still get to spend some time in the present day with both the original Kingsman team and the newly introduced Statesmen. However, it seems as if writer and director Matthew Vaughn is going all in on the prequel because Taron Egerton's Eggsy will not be making an appearance!

"I don’t know how hot off the press this is," Egerton revealed while promoting Robin Hood, "and I think I’m allowed to say it, but I’m not in the next Kingsman movie."

That doesn't necessarily mean we won't get to see him again, of course, but the Welsh actor was quick to reiterate that there are no plans in place for him to show up in the third instalment of the popular franchise based on Mark Millar's comic book series. "We're still very much in business together, but his next journey in that world doesn't involve me."

Kingsman 3 has been pencilled in for a November 9th, 2019 release, and the cast is coming together with names like Brad Pitt and Ralph Fiennes rumoured to star.

He's one of the best parts of the series.

I loved the first one and still have yet to see the second. Maybe I’ll wwrch It later today. I’ve heard from some saying it’s better then the first and others say it’s worse. Guess we’ll see.

You really should retract, or at least rewrite this Josh. It's factually inaccurate.

As has been pointed out elsewhere in the comments, Edgerton is referencing 'The Great Game', the period piece prequel set in WWII (or so). He is still due to appear in Kingsman 3, due out late next year.

It really doesn't take much to do some extra fact-checking.

This is the second time I’ve heard these comments not given the proper context. Of course he isn’t in the prequel.

Kingsman 2 was Donkey Dick.

What? Then what is the point?

Yeah Kingsmen 2 sucked, but the franchise still has gas in the tank and it can be redeemed, but not without the character of Eggsy at the core. He's kind of what that franchise is about.

Cool, now can he come on board to the MCU and play a proper Iron Fist?
