Could we see John Krasinski direct or star (or both) in an upcoming Marvel Cinematic Universe project? Geeks Worldwide reports that the A Quiet Place filmmaker recently took a virtual meeting with Marvel Studios, and a "multitude of projects" were said to be discussed.
Krasinski and Kevin Feige both said that they'd like to work together in recent interviews after being asked about the huge swell of online support for the former Office actor to play Reed Richards in a Fantastic Four reboot, so if they did have a little chat, it wouldn't exactly be a massive surprise.
We have no way of knowing if the Mr. Fantastic role was even brought up, of course, but we do know that Krasinki is well aware that he's a strong fan-favorite choice for the part, and has admitted that he would be interesting in portraying the character.
Marvel has yet to officially announce that a Fantastic Four reboot is even close to entering development, but this wouldn't be the first time the studio settled on a cast member for a project that didn't have a full creative team in place.
There are plenty of other possibilities, of course, and this is very much a rumor for the time being. What do you guys think? Would you be on board with John Krasinski as Reed Richards? Let us know in the usual place.
