Though the project's title has not been revealed, it's just been announced that Disney/Marvel Studios have pushed an MCU movie back by almost seven months from February 16 to September 6, 2024.

Disney has just announced a series of release date changes, and one of Marvel Studios' untitled big-screen projects has been pushed back by almost seven months.

No details on the film have been provided, but the mysterious Marvel Cinematic Universe movie will now hit theaters on September 6, 2024 having been originally scheduled for release on February 16.

There's some speculation that the film could be Deadpool 3, since The Merc With a Mouth's MCU debut wasn't officially dated at San Diego Comic-Con or last weekend's D23 Expo despite reportedly gearing up to begin shooting in early 2023.

Whatever the movie turns out to be, it's reasonable to assume it will now kick-off Phase 6 of the MCU ahead of the Fantastic Four's release a few months later in November.

Other delays include Disney's Haunted Mansion starring Rosario Dawson, LaKeith Stanfield, Dany DeVito, Jamie Lee Curtis, Jared Leto and Tiffany Haddish. The reboot will now open on August 11, 2023 after being previously dated for March 10 of that year.

@THEDARKKNIGHT1939 - Seriously! I had already reserved my tickets for "Untitled Marvel Movie: The First One". Damn it! PLUS I had already started reading up on the back issues of "Untitled Superhero" and "Uncanny Untitled Superhero". That being said, we'll probably get some spoilers when LEGO and Funko release their respective Untitled Superhero figure/sets, so stay tuned.

That’s a good question. I honestly don’t know. It’s possible - that February date just screams Deadpool to me.

Too many questions about the future of Spider-Man. I think they sign Holland for a few more movies and then have him pass it off to a Miles Morales or a different actor. Too much money on the table and NWH didn’t close his arc.

@regularmovieguy - yeah, I’ll be shocked if Sony doesn’t throw tons of money at Holland to get him back for a College Trilogy. After that, I think you are right and Miles will become the main character with Peter as a supporting character.

@MrDandy - I'm not sure Spider-Man takes one of Marvel's slots, but I do think Marvel takes Spider-Man into consideration when plotting out a slate.

Doubt they bring out four Marvel Studios movies when Sony plans to do Spider-Man. It'll still be four Marvel movies a year, just not four Marvel Studios movies a year.
