SDCC '22: Marvel Studios Animation LIVE Blog - SPIDER-MAN: FRESHMAN YEAR, X-MEN '97, WHAT IF, MARVEL ZOMBIES

We're back for CinemaCon Day 3! Get ready for a massive presentation as Disney unveils all the goods on their 2022 lineup, including Doctor Strange 2, Thor 4, Black Panther 2 and a first look at Avatar 2!

San Diego Comic-Con is fully underway and Marvel Studios is ready to take the stage in Ballroom 20 for their first presentation of the weekend, the Marvel Studios Animation panel!

As for what to expect from the hour-long presentation, here's the official SDCC description, "Marvel Studios head of streaming, television and animation Brad Winderbaum; head of visual development Ryan Meinerding; and special guests dive into all things animation with exclusive looks at X-Men 97, Marvel Zombies, What If…? season 2, and more."

While updates on X-Men '97 and What If...? season two were givens, Marvel Zombies is a welcome addition and while they don't explicitly state it, it's a pretty safe bet that we'll also be getting a major update on the highly-anticipated Spider-Man: Freshman Year. Whether trailers or concept art is released to the public remains to be seen, but be sure to stay tuned into CBM for the biggest updates as they happen.

There's a strong possibility we'll get casting news on all of the aforementioned shows, and we wouldn't put it past Marvel Studios to surprise with a possible new series announcement or two.
