Movement is ramping up for Universal's The Invisible Man adaptation, Aiming for a low budget, signature Blumhouse approach, producer Jason Blum has recruited Upgrade director Leigh Whannell to helm the project, which will no doubt be starting production later this year. Earlier this week the studio announced a release date for the film.
The Invisible Man will be hitting theaters March 13, 2020. Starring Elisabeth Moss (Us) and Storm Reid (A Wrinkle in Time), the film will be in direct competition with Godzilla vs. Kong. Perhaps The Invisible Man will provide some counterprogramming to the monster showdown but as with most box office outcomes, only time will tell.
