Tom Cruise's Twitter bio reads "Running in movies since 1981." and with a bio like that, you better believe you're going to see him run in each and every movie he does from now until the end of time, which is always welcome news for fans of the living legend.

The weekend was quite an eventful one for The Mummy team as, according to ComingSoon, the Alex Kurtzman-directed film officially wrapped in London after filming a number of scenes featuring Cruise and co-star Annabelle Wallis (Peaky Blinders) where they ran, ran, and ran some more away from presumably the extinction-level threat of Sofia Boutella's titular villain (who wasn't present).
Filming began in April, so it's been a fairly lengthy shoot, but considering the epic blockbuster scale of the upcoming reimagining, it's par for the course. While this report doesn't account for any potential reshoots down the line, it's certainly good news that the first step in Universal Pictures' highly ambitious Monsters Movie Universe is finally complete.

The film also stars Jake Johnson (Jurassic World), Marwan Kenzari (Ben-Hur), Courtney B. Vance (The People v. O.J. Simpson), and Russell Crowe (The Nice Guys) as Dr. Jekyll/Mr. Hyde.

Thanks to Twitter user Nick Garrett (@nbk7tq8), we have some amazing slo-mo video of Cruise & Wallis filming scenes on their last day of principal photography, running away at top speed from something truly terrifying. Check it out below:
In addition to the great set video, over the weekend, a number of different sources captured photos of Cruise & Wallis filming and then celebrating the final day of shooting. The images are copyrighted, but you can head over to Just Jared, Coming Soon, or the Daily Mail to check out the full galleries.
Plus, on Saturday, four-time Emmy winner Chris Rock (Top Five), who was in town on vacation with his girlfriend Megalyn Echikunwoke (Arrow), paid the set a visit to say hello to his old friend Tom Cruise (Jack Reacher: Never Go Back). He tweeted out a photo of the chance encounter, which you can view below:
Tom Cruise headlines a spectacular, all-new cinematic version of the legend that has fascinated cultures all over the world since the dawn of civilization: The Mummy.

Thought safely entombed in a crypt deep beneath the unforgiving desert, an ancient queen (Sofia Boutella of Kingsman: The Secret Service and Star Trek Beyond) whose destiny was unjustly taken from her is awakened in our current day, bringing with her malevolence grown over millennia and terrors that defy human comprehension.

From the sweeping sands of the Middle East through hidden labyrinths under modern-day London, The Mummy brings a surprising intensity and balance of wonder and thrills in an imaginative new take that ushers in a new world of gods and monsters.

The Mummy features:
Director: Alex Kurtzman
Tom Cruise as Tyler Colt
Annabelle Wallis as Jenny Halsey
Sofia Boutella as The Mummy
Jake Johnson in an undisclosed role
Marwan Kenzari in an undisclosed role
Courtney B. Vance as an Army Colonel
Russell Crowe as Dr. Henry Jekyll/Mr. Hyde
