Tom Cruise & THE MUMMY Cast Pose For A Group Photo As Production Moves To Namibia

We've seen plenty of photos of stars Tom Cruise & Annabelle Wallis on the set of The Mummy and now, we've received our first look at the characters played by Jake Johnson & Courtney B. Vance.

Earlier this month, it was widely reported that, after an extensive four-month shoot, Universal Pictures' upcoming reboot of The Mummy had wrapped principal photography, but as it turns out, the team had only completed the London segment of their lengthy schedule.

After filming a number of high-intensity scenes with Tom Cruise earlier this week, the Mummy team has now shifted their base of operations to the African nation of Namibia where it will spend the final two weeks of production and presumably film the introduction of Sofia Boutella's titular villain and/or possibly the film's epic climax. Also, thanks to Cruise's co-star Annabelle Wallis, we have our first official behind-the-scenes photo of the cast on-set in Namibia, including our first real look at Jake Johnson & Courtney B. Vance's characters, who both seem to have a military background of some sort. We don't want to read too much into it, but it looks like there may have been some truth to that early rumor of the military accidentally awakening the classic monster villain.

Check out the shot of Tom Cruise, Annabelle Wallis, Jake Johnson, and Courtney B. Vance below:

Plus, here's a recent photo of Cruise on set as he runs into some undead trouble in a double-decker bus, courtesy of Tom Cruise Blog. You can check out more photos on their page.

Tom Cruise headlines a spectacular, all-new cinematic version of the legend that has fascinated cultures all over the world since the dawn of civilization: The Mummy.

Thought safely entombed in a crypt deep beneath the unforgiving desert, an ancient queen (Sofia Boutella of Kingsman: The Secret Service and Star Trek Beyond) whose destiny was unjustly taken from her is awakened in our current day, bringing with her malevolence grown over millennia and terrors that defy human comprehension.

From the sweeping sands of the Middle East through hidden labyrinths under modern-day London, The Mummy brings a surprising intensity and balance of wonder and thrills in an imaginative new take that ushers in a new world of gods and monsters.

The Mummy features:
Director: Alex Kurtzman
Tom Cruise as Tyler Colt
Annabelle Wallis as Jenny Halsey
Sofia Boutella as The Mummy
Jake Johnson in an undisclosed role
Marwan Kenzari in an undisclosed role
Courtney B. Vance as an Army Colonel
Russell Crowe as Dr. Henry Jekyll/Mr. Hyde

Apologies for posting something unrelated to the article, but I'm just posting up here a crappy little retouch of the SDCC '16 Justice League image I slapped together yesterday. My GIMP skills are pretty awful, so the quality is pretty shoddy and it might look very fake, but I wanted to know what you guys thought.

@teefurtree - You'll have to open up the images to a large window to see most of the changes. Just some things like an S-curl, longer Bat ears, more prominent Flash headpiece 'ears', more cape coverage for Bats, some morphological changes, and of course color changes.

I like what the lighter costume. I was hoping that Superman would return in something slightly different?
Something like the image below bottom left.
Did you change Gal's boob size? Seemed to get bigger in the image you did.

@SimplyAz - Haha, caught me red-handed. Yeah, I did. It wasn't meant to be totally realistic.

Also not skilled enough to do the underwear any justice.

@teefurtree - That's pretty neat! love the re-colouring of Bats to make it more grey!

@teefurtree - Yeah I prefer your version. The costumes are lighter and supermans hair looks great. Good job on batmans cowl and the red on red actually works for the flash better than I thought it would.

You should send to zack! I want the S curl back!!!

@JonAwesome - He was wearing too much gel as Superman in BVS.

Maybe he can try something similar to his normal hairstyle?

Kind of looking forward to this movie, regardless of what anyone thinks of Cruise, the Mission Impossible films are great fun and Edge of Tomorrow was mind blowingly awesome.
Also Sofia is sexy.........!!!

@SimplyAz - Dude Edge of Tomorrow is my shit! One of the best sci-fi actions of the decade! Cruise is still the #1 action star!

@SimplyAz - Last year's Mission Impossible Rogue Nation is [frick]ing "underrated" imo. Its definitely one of the best blockbuster of the year yet barely anyone mention it.

@Shanksman -

Ghost Protocal has been my favourite so far, plus it had Paula Patton.
To be fair I do kind of like all of them including 2.
Wonder where the series will go next?

@PesciGotPepsi -

I saw Oblivion first and was a bit disappointed but then saw EOT and was shocked by how great it was. Not sure about the sequel rumours though.
PesciGotPepsi
PesciGotPepsi - 7/30/2016, 6:32 AM
@SimplyAz - I have yet to see Oblivion. The sequel to EOT sounds cool but only if Liman directs and McQuarrie writes again. Cruise and McQuarrie are a dream team.

I love Ghost Protocol but I give the slight edge to Rogue Nation only based on Rebecca Ferguson's character and the villain.
Shanksman
Shanksman - 7/30/2016, 6:48 AM
@SimplyAz - I love Ghost Protocol too, also yeah Paula Patton is hot af lol. But what set the difference between the two movies for me is that Rogue Nation had this badass who's even outshine Cruise himself.

Imagine her as Wonder Woman. Also at one point she was rumored to be Captain Marvel.
PesciGotPepsi
PesciGotPepsi - 7/30/2016, 7:11 AM
@Shanksman - She would have been GREAT as Captain Marvel! I could see her playing someone like Huntress
CaptDeadpool
CaptDeadpool - 7/30/2016, 7:11 AM
@SimplyAz - I love Cruise! I've had this conversation a few times with people who hate on him: check out his filmography... Literally since the 80's the dude has had maybe three or four movies that weren't great but no flops! From TopGun to Jack Reacher, Magnolia and Minority Report...

I think its safe to say Tom Cruise has the best track record in the history of Hollywood! Can't say that about Denzel, Tom Hanks etc... People wanna hate cuz he's batsh*t in real life but homie brings it every film!!
