We've seen some Supergirl videos already, and now these latest leaked auditions might give us an insight into one of Marvel's upcoming Netflix TV shows. Among other things, we find out that the Purple Man will most likely be one of the main villains in AKA Jessica Jones. Take a look...

All we know officially about Marvel's AKA Jessica Jones (production name "Violet") is that Krysten Ritter will star in the title role, and Mike Colter will play Luke Cage -- but these audition videos seem to confirm that the villain (or at least one of 'em) of the show will be the Purple Man. In the first one, actress Meghan Ory is reading for a character named "Julia" (undoubtedly Jessica) and speaking to "Tracy" (possibly Cage but your guess is as good as mine). She tells him she needs money to get away from someone named "Kincade". Now it should become obvious after you watch both vids that this is almost definitely a fake name for Zebediah Killgrave, aka the Purple Man, who has the power to influence people to do whatever he wishes, and made Jessica Jones' life a living hell in the comics. The second vid details the first meeting between the two, and Nick Court reads the Kincade part. Have a look and let us know what you think in the usual place.

I really hope she isn't raped by him. In fiction rape is just one of those areas most people should not go to. Having a main female character raped goes into areas of weakening the woman so that she can be raped. I have heard it best unless there is a really good reason to have a character raped then just don't do it. There are other ways to have a female character hurt by a villain or to create drama then to have her raped.

As someone with absolutely no prior knowledge about this character or this storyline whatsoever...

...what the [frick] is up with a villain named "The Purple Man" using his influence-powers to demand that Jessica take off her clothes? That's a pretty disturbing, skeevy direction to take a comic book villain.

Oh okay I remember in the Tunderbolt's comics after they reunited and Purple Man took over New York by putting his pheromones in the water supply. He raped three women and was more then likely going to rape Mockingbird before the Swordsman aka Andreas Von Strucker saved her.

@DrKinsolving Ha, apparently I do! I am just imagining how awful and off-the-rails that kind of story can go in the hands of some writers, but if they're good stories then I definitely hope the show does them justice.

If you get the chance check out Brian Bendis' Alias which is what this show is basically going for its from the Marvel MAX imprint & doesnt really hold back in alot of areas its quite psychological

After watching those vids, I think Purple Man is going to psychologically [frick] her up big time, leave (possibly by fake 'death') and then as she tries to put her life back together he returns. So she is forced to turn to Luke Cage for help, and eventually confronts Purple Man.

Don't get me wrong Purple Man can be a great villain and the power set seems terrifying to face I am just really worried that the writers could fall easily into rape and that can turn so many people off to the show.
