Oh...and I guess that, since I know little to nothing about Aquaman, (other than the gay community adores him,) I'd have to go with Namor.

The heck is up with all the Namor lovers? Aquaman wins it, batches!

@Wingding: It may not be that there are an abundance of Namor lovers, so much as it's simply a matter of people being more familiar with Namor and his power levels. At least, that's my excuse...

Namor lifts about 85 tons on land, 100+ underwater. Aquaman has been buffed lately, and is said (by DC) to lift about 60 tons, probably not changing between land and water. They are both kinda bulletproof.

Namor can fly, but AM can telepathically command everything in the sea. That's how AM beat Namor's butt in the DC vs Marvel series. If AM gets time to summon stuff, and/or has his magic "water hand", AM wins. If it's a straight-up brawl, it's Namor hands-down.

Now, if this were a beauty contest, Aquaman FTW. ;)

Aquaman can breathe underwater, swim at tremendous speeds, and telepathically communicate with sea life. Being able to withstand ocean depths, he gets bonus points on land with his superhuman strength, enhanced senses, and nearly impenetrable skin.

Namor possesses superhuman stamina and durability, a result of his body’s adaptation to underwater pressures. He also possesses superhuman agility, reflexes, and speed, with a maximum swimming speed of roughly sixty miles per hour. Namor is able to fly via the finlike wings on his ankles, and he possesses a telepathic rapport with many, but not all, forms of marine life. Like all Atlanteans, he has a prolonged lifespan and his body is specially developed for underwater conditions, granting him specialized blood circulation to withstand freezing temperatures and highly developed vision to see clearly even in murky ocean depths. This hybrid physiology means he can survive indefinitely underwater or on land (though he would still need occasional contact with water to survive)

Namor. He can fly and has thrown down and held his own against some of Marvel's heavy hitters.

But Namor sticks with his original personality (grumpy anti-hero) from day One. Aquaman's personality malleably changed from writer to another writer.
