Never underestimate a Nobody.

The first trailer for Hardcore Henry director's new action thriller is now online, and it looks like an absolute blast. Clearly taking a page out of John Wick's playbook (the poster is even a direct homage), Nobody stars Emmy Award-winner Bob Odenkirk (Better Call Saul) as a seemingly ordinary Joe Soap whose buried past resurface when he's forced to protect his family from a pair of burglars.

As you'll see from the bone-crunching red band trailer below, this opens up a particularly violent can of worms when he's targeted by a group of mercenaries intent on delivering payback for something Hutch did in his former life.

Based on a script by John Wick writer Derek Kolstad, Nobody is produced by Kelly McCormick and David Leitch (Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw, Deadpool 2, Atomic Blonde) and also stars the legendary Christopher Lloyd as Hutch's father, and RZA as his brother.

"Sometimes the man you don't notice is the most dangerous of all. Emmy winner Bob Odenkirk (Better Call Saul, Breaking Bad) stars as Hutch Mansell, an underestimated and overlooked dad and husband, taking life's indignities on the chin and never pushing back. A nobody. When two thieves break into his suburban home one night, Hutch declines to defend himself or his family, hoping to prevent serious violence. His teenage son, Blake (Gage Munroe, The Shack), is disappointed in him and his wife, Becca (Connie Nielsen, Wonder Woman), seems to pull only further away. The aftermath of the incident strikes a match to Hutch's long-simmering rage, triggering dormant instincts and propelling him on a brutal path that will surface dark secrets and lethal skills. In a barrage of fists, gunfire, and squealing tires, Hutch must save his family from a dangerous adversary (famed Russian actor Aleksey Serebryakov, Amazon's McMafia) and ensure that he will never be underestimated as a nobody again."

Nobody is set for a theatrical release on February 26.

It’s clearly a spin off set in the John Wick universe. Even having the gold bricks.

I personally can’t wait to see the John Wick universe incorporated with a family environment. Getting major A History of Violence chills with this...

@Se4M4NSt4ine - my guess is if this does well, theyll explcitly connect it to the John Wick universe. pretty exciting to see that world expand, but this character really is just a retread of unstoppable force kills everything in his path.

If Bruce Willis can be an action star I don't see any reason Odenkirk can't.

[frick] Bob Odenkirk is such a great actor. I didn't know he could be a John Wick type, but this looks fun! BCS is so vastly underrated, especially at the Emmys. Hope this is great!
