Rhino gets beat, batman has taken on a version of AMAZO on the fly, no reason he could take a dumb brute like Rhino in a first encounter either.

Mera vs Sandman -- Sandman's taken out Hydro-Man. I don't think Mera's much more of a threat.

Batman vs Rhino -- laughable. Dumb or not, Rhino's cut his teeth fighting Spider-Man and he's as strong and durable as The Thing. Nothing in Batman's utility belt would hurt him -- and likely none of the Batmobile's projectiles, either. I swear to God, ever since they had him beat Superman people are like "There's nobody Batman can't beat." Worse [frick]ing thing to ever happen to the character and it completely undermined and eradicated everything that made him special. He'd lose this fight, and badly.

Virile -- personally I never go by the movie version. I always go by classic comic book version.

Saturn Girl vs Spider-Man -- as bad-ass as he is, Spidey's just as vulnerable to a telepath as the next guy. SG by brain-fry.

Gambit vs Wonder Woman -- this may as well be Batman vs Rhino. Gambit's explosions would only piss WW off.

Batman can definitely be beaten, Deathstroke is close to him in strength and abilities and he mops the floor with him regularly, Superman would beat Bats in an instant but Rhino doesnt have the mental capabilities to beat Batman. he's too resourceful, if Rhino was a smart guy and not just a dumb henchman then yeah, Batman would lose but I stand by my argument on this one, batman outsmarts Rhino before he can land a good shot on Batman.

Mera-Water seem to work in the games,tv shows, comics, and movies don't see a reason it wouldn't work now.

Rhino-Only in a first time encounter after that due to his nature of jobbing and low intellect he would lose the rematch.

Saturngirl-Telepathy for the win.

Wonder Woman-While there are ways to take her out and I'm not talking dinner and a movie, none of those options are open to Gambit due to lack of funding and lack of knowledge in the mystic arts.

DC DC DC DC...

DC wins this week

Though I'm confused as to the amount of people that say Sandman could beat the character whose primary power is Sandman's weakness. If that's the case then spider-man should never be able to beat sandman. And ya, I know sandman beat Hydro-Man, but Batman beat Superman in Dark Knight returns and we still wouldn't give it to him.

This is an easy round,

Mera

Rhino- rematch would be bats but in a first encounter. bats fights, does very little damage and runs to fight another day.

just because Rhino can run in a straight direction at 45 mph doesn't mean that he's that fast when it comes to throwing punches, he's too slow to catch Batman and if you've ever seen anything Batman in modern times VIRILE then you'd know that he always has the Batwing and Batmobile on standby, on press of a button on his gauntlet and he has a vehicle at his location. The way i see it going down is he plays Rhino like a matador plays a bull, maybe he uses smoke or flash bang grenades to disorient him then calls the car in to run him down or hit him with some ordinance.

And before you say Batman wouldn't do things like that he has been known to up the violence against super powered beings...when he knows they can take it and whatever he throws at them won't kill them. So yeah, I could see him using acid on Rhino because Rhinos body can take it, it wouldn't kill him.

^ exactly, bottom line here is Batman is way too smart and has too many option of weapons, Rhinos going down

As for susceptibility to gas attacks etc, this is why I very rarely go by the supplied bios. No offense to The Witness, but most of the time they're not exactly accurate. As it happens, Rhino's been attacked by gases/toxins before but like The Hulk, The Thing and other Marvel characters of his superhuman size, such attacks don't really have an effect. Firstly, their oversized lungs house far more oxygen than a normal sized human, which means they can hold their breath for extended amounts of time. Secondly, even if they did inhale the gas or toxin, their superhuman metabolism simply burns the junk out of their system at a drastically faster rate than a regular human. And we're talking about a guy in specific here whose metabolism and endurance enable him to exert himself at full power for many hours at a time. To guys like Rhino, gases and toxins are nothing more than a mild irritation.

I'd give Batman the nod on a rematch, sure, because he'd have experienced first hand Rhino's true level of power and would know to have a friend like Superman, Wonder Woman or Martian Manhunter on standby who could handle him. But of course that would entail the presupposition that Rhino didn't flat-out murder him on a first encounter, which would be highly, highly unlikely.

I had the misfortune back in the late 90s to witness a clip from a video called Banned from TV that showed footage of a woman being hit by a train at speed. She exploded into pieces. The most disturbing [frick]ing thing I've seen in my life, and I've been in combat.

It's what I imagine would become of Bats if he tangled with Rhino.

LoudLon - 5/16/2014, 1:14 AM
Shit, sorry, man, wasn't my intent. In my defense, though, I did point out that it was the most disturbing thing I've ever seen, so it's not like I was making light of it LOL
