After my initial shock I realized this wasn't the first time Marvel has tried something like this. The program is called "Comics for Comics" and aims to let retailers turn unsold comics into rare variants. Back in January 2010, Marvel had a similar program for retailers where they could send
50 comic books for a limited edition Siege #3 Deadpool Variant. In both cases, the variant covers being offered are a little underwhelming, making it seem that Marvel is implying that 50 DC Comics are only worth a single marginal Marvel product. Do you agree with Marvel's latest PR tactics?
