Darna TV Series Coming to USA

DARNA FANS OF ALL AGES!!!

The Darna TV Series has begun and can be watched globally on GMA PINOY TV Cable Channel.

The series begins in 1940. The 4 Great Adversaries wreak havoc upon the countryside in their quest to exact their revenge on Darna who previously defeated them separately. Under the leadership of the Leech woman, they decide to combine their forces against humanity's champion. As they proceeded to attack, this seemingly ordinary woman (played by Actress Angel Aquino)defies them and manages to hurt the Hawk-Woman. As the three converge on their intended victim, they receive the shock of their lives as they discover that their victim is...DARNA



The narrative recaps the Golden Age Origin of DARNA and explains how the 4 villainesses were eventually defeated by the First Darna and how they were bound to an inescapable place. The years pass and after the original mortal form of the golden age Darna passes on, her spirit becomes Guardian of the stone and is now on a quest to find the rightful heiress to its power. To be the modern world's new ..DARNA.

The storyarc so far: After the chosen one- Narda initially refuses the magic amulet from Guardian (the original possessor of the amulet), The 4 Villains: Babaeng Impakta (She Demon), Babaeng Lawin (Hawk-Woman), Babaeng Tuod (The Wood Witch) and Babeng Linta (Leech Woman) escape from their prison and attack the town of San Martin and demand that the townsfolk surrender Darna (who defeated them in 1940) to them. Many of the people die in the attack while Narda is dropped from the sky by the hawk-woman and is severely injured by her fall.

After seeing the ramnifications of her refusal, Narda accepts her destiny and finally accepts the stone from Guardian and transforms to Darna.....
