Hello, fellow readers. As you know, I do not post that many articles. I did have chances of posting a few articles, but I thought I'd leave that to the best on ComicBookMovie. The summer is now ending, and now we have one comic book movie to look forward to before we enter next year, Thor: The Dark World. With this summer ending, I thought it best to give my review of the biggest comic book hero movies of the summer. Iron Man 3 and Man of Steel. I realize that this review probably should have occurred when the movies came out. Apologies for that aspect. Any how,on with the review.

Man Of Steel:

Man of Steel, directed by Zack Snyder and starring Henry Cavill as the grandfather of all superheroes. I have to say, I am not a Superman fan, but I will go to any superhero movie, no matter if I like the character or not. I went and saw the movie twice. Once in 2D and once in 3D. This is a wonderful start to Warner Bros. DC Cinematic Universe. How was the camera work? As many people know, there are some shaky cam scenes, and that did bother me, especially in 3D, but I did not let that take me away from the experience. How were the characters portrayed? A story, in order to captivate the audience, has to show empathy, and if it is done right, it will pull at your heart strings. Kevin Costner, as Pa Kent, certainly pulled my heart strings and I wish there were more scenes with him in it. I wish there were more scenes with Lawrence Fishburne as Perry White, and he certainly seemed to be the character. Michael Shannon is strong as General Zod, and Zod had a purpose in the movie, which I liked better than in Superman 2. I also have to mention that Henry Cavill as Superman I feel is Superman and actually made me become more of a fan of Superman.
I end this review with a comparison of Man of Steel and the Dark Knight Rises. The first time I saw the movie, I was with my parents, and I will take into account that the way they saw the movie and how my girlfriend and I saw the movie is quite different and odd cause I can not understand why they thought this way. My father and mother felt that it was a very long movie, and so did my girlfriend, but they felt there was not enough action and were more entertained by the Dark Knight Rises, stating that that film was more action packed. I disagree with this, my girlfriend was disappointed by the Dark Knight Rises, feeling it dragged on until the end. She was not thrilled that I had her see Man of Steel, but thoroughly enjoyed the film and felt it was action packed. I felt the movie was too short, but that is probably because it is so action packed that you get drawn in to the story.
The ending has had some controversy about the killing of specific character, and I know that most of you know who I am talking about. With all due respect, I stand by this move by Zack Snyder. I t was a smart move and better built the character. This action will, without a doubt, have an impact on Superman in the working title Man of Steel 2.

With Man of Steel I give it a 9 out of 10

Iron Man 3:

Iron Man 3 I also saw twice, but I was dragged to see it a second time. If you are not a fan of the comics, you will be entertained by the film immensely, with out any thought on the big plot twist that comic book fans, like myself, being very disappointed by the plot twist.
I have a "love, hate" relationship with this film. It is a great ride, from start to finish.Jon Favreau is replaced by director Shane Black. Robert Downey is great as Anthony "Tony" Stark/ Iron Man, as always.Jon Favreau is still Happy, thankfully, and still great as the character. Everyone is great in this film. The little boy in the film, when they introduced the kid, I was worried it would be cheesey, and it was a little bit cheesey. I will say, Robert Downey, Jr's sarcasm to kid is great and hilarious. Heck, this movie is hilarious, entertaining and action packed and Tony Stark is not even in the suit through most of the movie.
There are moments when I question this movie, and end up confused. Do the Ten Rings even exist? If the Mandarin was the leader of AIM who is leading the Ten Rings? Was it AIM, calling themselves the Ten Rings the ones who kidnapped Tony in the desert and put him in a cave? Does that mean they would have double crossed Obadiah Stane? I do not know, but I wish these answers were more clear in the movie, But, these errors in Iron Man's history can easily be fixed in another installment of Iron Man, which we won't see for awhile.

Iron Man 3, I give an 8.5 out of 10

So, tell me what you all think? Should I do reviews more often or leave it to the ComicBookMovie pros?

Hey, I am disappointed with Iron Man 3, but it was still entertaining. I can't help that the story was actually written pretty well.
