The Hollywood Reporter has confirmed that Canadian actress Erica Durance has landed the coveted role of Lois Lane, Superman's future love interest on The WB's SMALLVILLE. Apparently, at this time, Lois will not be a reporter, but will arrive in Smallville to investigate a matter involving her cousin, Chloe.
Meanwhile, Jensen Ackles (ex-Eric Brady, Days of Our Lives) joins the cast as Jason Teague, a " stubbornly independent heir to a rich Metropolis financial firm who becomes romantically involved with Lana Lang (Kristin Kreuk)."
Durance is expected to be on the show for at least four episodes, while Ackles has joined in a regular, recurring role.
