Fox Will Be Developing a U.S. Version of Torchwood (The Dr Who Spin-off Show)
The Hollywood Reporter is reporting: Original series creator Russell Davies of "Torchwood" from BBC Worldwide Productions is writing the script of a new "Torchwood." Fox will be developing the U.S. version of the U.K. hit TV show...
"Torchwood" is the spin-off from the 2005 new run of "Doctor Who," also been a comic book and its about a special covert group that investigates and fights supernatural and alien activity. Its had two seasons thats aired on BBC America and also a stand-alone miniseries, called "Children of Earth."
John Barrowman, who plays Captain Jack Harkness, may star if Fox orders "Torchwood" to pilot.
The trade says the American version will contain a global story line instead of more local treats as in the BBC series thats based in Cardiff Wales.
