This is a story that especially strikes home with me, as I am a Nashvillian and native Tennessean!

Eric Powell, comic writer, and artist, has decided to place pieces of his art up in the Goon Ebay store to help support the Nashville Rollergirls.

No, they are not a band (though that would be a good name for one). They are the finest women to ever strap on a pair of skates, pads, and a helmet just to smash the living daylights out of each other!

So if you ever wanted an original Goon of your own, now is your chance!

Eric Powell seems like a cool guy. I've never got to meet him, but my friend who is a horror author knows him.

The Goon is like Hellboy meets Al Capone, I freaking love it.

You just have to know the Nashville Rollergirls, they are so hardcore. One of the guys at the office is one of their volunteer promoters, plus a ton of people at work love the roller derby. They are insanely entertaining.

But the roller derby is just a hobby for them, so money is short for equipment and such. So Powell is just being all kinds of awesome and giving them a hand.
